Three persons charged with theft in separate cases

Harrison Banner Duhaney

Three persons were today charged in the Magistrate’s Court for theft in connection with separate incidents, and the charges range from stealing meat to stealing a horse.   The first to be arraigned was thirty-two year-old Harrison Banner Duhaney, accused of stealing sixty pounds of Pork Chops and fourteen pounds of Beef Roast valued at over eight hundred dollars.  The meat was the property of twenty year old Sherie McKesey, the Manager of McKesey and Sons Meat Shop.  It was discovered in bushes in an open lot behind the meat shop around six thirty on Saturday evening.  Duhaney, who was unrepresented, pleaded not guilty and was offered bail of three thousand dollars and ordered to return to court on September thirteenth.

Tanya Waite

The second to be arraigned was twenty-three year old Tanya Waite, a hairbraider.  Waite is being accused of stealing a cellular phone worth ninety-nine dollars from twenty four year old Tanisha Smith.  Waite appeared before Magistrate Aretha Ford and she too pleaded not guilty.  She was offered bail of a thousand dollars and was ordered back in court for October fifteenth.  Waite’s arrest came after her Smith, who is her sister, reported to police that last Tuesday she went to her mother’s house and forgot her cell phone.  She said when she returned for it, it was gone.  Smith suspected the culprit to be her sister as she said she was the only one at the home at the time of her visit.

Frank Young

The third person to face Theft charges today was eighteen year old Frank Young, who is accused of stealing – of all things, a horse! The horse owner, seventy five year old Giovanni Smith, reported that last Thursday, he was gathering his horses to saddle for horse back tours and realized that one of the animals named “Tom” was  missing .  Searches in the area proved futile but the next day, Smith got a phone call from an employee that he had found he horse in Lord’s Bank along with Young.  Young also pleaded not guilty and was offered bail of two thousand dollars. His case was adjourned until September fifteenth.

Lets see theft and bail is $3000,$2000 and $1000. Assault that left a man lying unconscius on a road side in Ladyville and bail was $800 whre is the justice. You get more years for theft an burglary than physically hurting someone so stupid!
