Caye Caulker Jet Express boat crashes into pier
What could have ended up with casualties, turned out uneventful for passengers on board a vessel this afternoon at Caye Caulker. At around four-fifteen this afternoon the passenger boat named the Thunderbolt One and belonging to the newly established Caye Caulker Jet Express collided into the pier. News Five understands that the captain, Eliseo Rivero, lost control of the vessel after its cables got loose as he tried to dock at the pier in Caye Caulker. The boat could not slow down in time and it slammed into the pier, causing only minor injuries to a little girl onboard. The vessel then proceeded to San Pedro where it dropped off passengers en route to that location.
We could not ask for a better outcome but I hope this is not the same drunk with the tiny bladder that piloted the boat I rode 15 years ago.
Thank God for no casualties…Do they even check drinking and “driving” on boats?
