Emmanuel Lemott and Egbert Miller charged for murder of Hellen Yu
Four persons were in court today to face charges in connection with the shooting death of fourteen year old Hellen Yu, but only two of them were charged with murder. The four are Emmanuel Lemott, Wilward Anderson, his nephew Egbert Miller and girlfriend Carmen Jones. Miller and Lemott were read a host of charges: Murder of Hellen Yu, Attempted Murder of her father Ziren Yu, Use of Deadly Means of Harm, Dangerous Harm, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery and Handling Stolen Goods for two cell phones belonging to Hellen’s mother Zhuang Huang. The phones were recovered in Belize City on August thirteenth, the day after the murder. They were also charged jointly with Jones and Anderson with an additional two counts of Handling Stolen Goods for a nine millimetre Sig Sawer Brand pistol and a sim card from one of Huang’s phones, which were found in Cotton Tree on Tuesday. The pistol turned out to be property of another Asian National, Guan Qiana. The four will return to court on September twenty-seventh in Belize City and then on the twenty-eighth in Belmopan for the items found in Cotton Tree. Hellen and her father were shot during a robbery at their family grocery store, Yue’s Store on August twelfth. She was laid to rest on August nineteenth, a day when the Asian business community closed down to register their displeasure with the crime situation.
HANG THEM BOTH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How many robberies & murders did these idiots get away with or are we going to hear that the Asians & Police framed them?
This is another wake up call for parents who believe that blood is thicker than water & continue to make decisions that are not in their children’s best interest. Wayward Anderson is a good reason to keep worthless relatives out of our lives.
In the end the Chinese will start shooting everyone that look like these animals when they walk in their shops, because I would.
How much money they they get, or was it a life for a cell phone, well, maybe it was just another assination ordered by another jelous chinese businessman.
Get rid of them, don’t really care how.
please don’t tell us that dickie is gonna be their lawyer, and if he’s gonna do, call them free murders becuase surely they’ll be out in no time.
I agree w/belizean pride that damn dickie must b paying off some1if they catch u red handed on d seen call dickie he’ll get yu off…i wonder if he sleeps well at nite
Hope these good-for-nothing parasites get what they deserve.
Dickie is not to blame, the DPP is responsible for all this bs.Dickie is just doing his job that’s his profession.
Red:Then maybe we need to appoint people who are not affiliates of Dickie to work at the DPP.This also shows how corrupted our system is.Furthmore it shows that all the Government officials don’t care about the Belizean people. The PM knows what the conviction rate is.So why can’t he address this situation?because he is a part of the equation.
Dick is not to blamed for men walking free even after they committed horrible crimes, blame the police and their incapability of finding and producing good evidence to the court.
Blame the court system, for sticking to their traditional law and justice.
Blame all your past and present government for ignoring the fact that with new generations comes new responsibilites that require improved law and order, therefore those in power refusing to change the law are apart of the problem, not the solution.
without the proper evidence provided by investigators/police no court in the world can convict someone.
MADDYYVANDIJK/DEREALIST
Change what law? Before you entertain such irresponsible idea, do some serious reading. Go and look at the Magna Carta/Common Laws.Logical reasonable legal anylasis, then convince yourself if the legal proceedings should be change where the accused must be proven guilty beyond a rasonable doubt. We gave you young folks a reasonable world and you screw it up even with your millions of PhD’s. We were lest so-call educated but we had and still have character. Our word was our bond. Most of the communities in Belize had no Police station or presence; they were not needed. There was no need for them to carry a gun. You want a better society? Go back to some basicks:
1, Seek God your creator.
2. Respect your parents.
3. Respect yourself.
4. See a real need for relegion in your life.
5. Stop been so materialistic. A person life is not consist in the abondance of things we possess.
The court system has very little to do with this decadence society. If we conduct ourselves as we should there would be no need for police our courts. Big cars, fancy houses, trips to the USA and other parts of the world that most of us in my time only heard of or saw in the movies, but we are not safe, so we live behind burgler bars a self made prison. What does it profit a man/woman if we gain the whole world and—————-?. This generation is high on education but very short on wisdom.
Well said MADDY…
If MADDYVANDIJK/SURREALIST WOULD ONLY THINK ……. she would produce better posts. Instead, she is overly critical and contributes MINDLESS DRIVEL. I second MANFORD ……
Manford,
No disrespect to you here because we as belizean certainly do not not need any more negativity in out lives.
We do not live in a fantasy, nor a basic world where rape and murder does not co-exist side by side with our daily lives, and livelihood. If such a peaceful world ever existed, sadly it is now lost without hope.
Back to basics in a world that has changed so greatly is not an option for todays generation.people are different now and our present society in which we have to live today is different from that of the fifties, etc.
Because of evolution we are no no longer capable of conducting ouselves as we should, (quoting you), therefore a court system in Belize is needed along with an armed police department in order to insure stability, freedom and order in the society in which me have to live.
people are more driven and more motivated in today’s world, when we work we make our contributaion to our children and our society.
Some of us have to worked hard blood, sweat and tears in order to give our children a better way of liffe, and if we can offord big cars and houses well, that is our reward for a job well done in our society
