Unidentified body found in the Mopan River

In the west, the body of an unidentified man was found floating in the Mopan River.  According to officers attached to the Benque Police Formation, the deceased was shirtless but was wearing blue jeans.  Residents of Succotz Village detected the body at about six-thirty on Monday evening.  It was pulled to the river bank, where it was observed to be in an early stage of decomposition. No signs of violence were observed on the body and police do not suspect foul play at this time. It is believed the unidentified man drowned. Up to the start of our newscast, the police still have not been able to identify the victim. If you have any information that can lead to the identification of the deceased man, please contact the Benque Police Formation.

Placing a photo of the victim along with this piece of news could quickly help to identify the victim.

WE DO NOT WANT TO SEE THE PHOTO OF A DEAD BODY on TELEVISION ……. except in the movies.
His people will find him if they really care.

The photo would not be a very accurate likeness of this person because he has already started decomposing. At early stage the body would start bloating and the skin tone becomes darker as there is no blood flow. His facial features would also be affected by the fact that he’s been floating in water for an unknown length of time. As with “live skin” that has been submerged in water it starts “pruning” “dead skin” on the other hand starts to dissolve so to speak because the oil glands on the skin that normally offer “waterproofing” are no longer functioning.
