Reality Stars, Julio and Vanesa, prepare for October Wedding

Julio Escalante and Vanesa Ramos had their pre-marital bliss interrupted by a traffic mishap that left the groom with a fractured jaw, broken hip and dislocated shoulder. Well Julio is now recovering from a final round of surgery and after therapy he will hopefully be able to walk on his own. The couple is optimistic about the impending wedding; Vanesa received her dream wedding gown and they are both counting down to the new date in October. We spoke to Julio and Vanesa and found out that his jaw brace has been removed and he can do one of the things he’s missed the most… eat.

“We gone tek out di braces out ah mi mouth last week Monday. I had two options, I mi got di three days or di doctor mi wah could do it inna twenty minutes. I mi choose di twenty minutes although I mi get like four injection but I neva want spend no more days inna hospital; I rather deh home wid di family. Dah mi wah first time experience, I mi got some pain wid di wire. After ih come out di first day, ih mi rough because when I di sleep mi jaw—sake ah ih mi lock up fi two months, I mi still feel di pain afta yoh work it out during di night. Now tomorrow I di look forward to di surgery pan mi shoulder. Dat dah di last surgery, hopefully I wah do. Den di following week, I supposed to start to tek mi therapy fi walk.”

“I really happy fi si ah di way ih di recover. Everybody seh ih really di have wah speedy recovery. Each day I tell ah—first when I used to si ah di lay down pan di bed, I tell ah I really neva like si ah like dat. So now dat ih di move bout, ih di laugh up, ih di eat. Like just yesterday di big plate ah food weh ih eat, I tell ah babe I really happy fi si yoh appetite up.”

“Towards di wedding, I can’t wait. When dah mi actual date fi di wedding, I sit down een yah and everybody come and seh bwai wi mi wah di party right now. Mi fiancée look pan mi and seh she mi wah be Mrs. Escalante today. All kind ah thing. So ih mi kinda rough fi dah whole week deh. But I di look forward to the new date October thirtieth cause dat dah right afta my birthday and den I wah tek di honeymoon fi mi wife birthday inna November. Dat wah be November seventh, the following week. So ih wah still be much, much, more fun.”

“I all excited because ih always seh babes, even if I can’t walk as yet, I wah wheel up dah isle. But we all have hopes and we know ih wah walk by den. So I can’t wait fi step out ah di vehicle and walk up dah isle and meet di love ah my life.”
