Two burglars charged for breaking into Wendy Castillo’s home
The home of Hattieville resident Wendy Castillo was burglarized on Monday by culprits, believed to be her neighbours. Castillo’s husband got news of the break-in at around three o’clock that afternoon and they later found that sixteenth thousand, six hundred and ninety-five dollars in items were stolen. The thieves got their hands on everything that was small enough to carry with ease. And we mean everything… from feminine products and food items to jewelry and electronics. Twenty year old Carlton Wade and twenty-one-year old Joel McGregor were remanded to the Central Prison for the Burglary today.
McGregor was caught on Monday night with a video game valued at four hundred dollars that was stolen from the Castillo’s. But that was nothing compared to over eight thousand dollars in stolen items, including a Rolex watch and assorted jewelry that Wade had in his possession when he was picked up on Tuesday. He led police to another five thousand, seven hundred dollars in loot on Wednesday. Cops also found out that Wade had pawned some of the jewelry using the name Carl Garnett. The duo was additionally charged for Handling Stolen Goods and Damage to Property for locks that were broken to enter the house. They pleaded not guilty and bail was denied because McGregor is a repeat offender with charges of Theft and Burglary pending in court. He had also been missing court dates for those charges and a bench warrant was in effect for his arrest. Wade, on the other hand, is a first time offender but he too was denied bail in the interest of the investigation. Both men are to return to court on October seventh.

JAIL WITH HARD LABOUR …………….. IS THE ONLY THING THEY WILL UNDERSTAND!!!!!
Breaking into another person’s house is a pretty serious crime and shows a very depraved heart. These men should be locked up for a long, long time to set an example and to protect other Belizeans.
Don’t call the police first,.
shoot them first then call the police to tell them dead bodies need to be removed from your house.
Is Wade a first time offender or was it the first time he got caught? No one accidentally breaks into someone’s house & the lying little twit knew enough to pawn the goods under another name.
He knew his friend was a thief, he should have stayed away from him. Maybe jail will knock some sense into him or he’ll spend a lot of time picking up the soap.
Carlton di thief?? This lee bwai mi quiet, well mannered & respectful…what went wrong?
