Belmopan police have charged four persons with the murder of twenty-two year old Jesse Jones of Ontario Village, Cayo. Jones was shot dead as he tried to bring two rival groups together to make amends. twenty-seven year old Kimberly Oshon, all of Belize City, and who were intercepted on a bus travelling from Ontario to Belmopan. The fourth person is Leroy Richards, the owner of one of two homes that were gutted after Jones was killed. Police say that they confiscated from Oshon, a point twenty five calibre pistol, four rounds of ammunition and an expended shell. Jones was shot shortly after eleven just outside the compound where the two homes were located in the village. He was reportedly acting as the mediator of his group. who then reacted and set the two houses on fire. No one else was hurt in the chaos that followed after the shooting and while they have charged four with his murder, they are no closer today in making any arrests for the arson.
“Notorious figures” is just a nice way of saying PROFESSIONAL CRIMINALS. They are known, they have long histories of criminal activity, so why aren’t they locked up for their many past crimes? Soft judges who give soft sentences have blood on their hands today. And so do the politicians who appoint soft judges and the Belizean people who elect soft politicians.

When I first heard this story, I had already pictured in my mind what the suspects will look like.
My profiling of the suspects was correct, from their ugly faces right down to the stupid baseball cap.
It is time that the citizens of Belize stop wasting time asking the GOB to bring back hanging, the time has come for Belizeans to unite as one people with zero tolerance for criminals, and murderers.
These animals should be chained up in public and starved to death in full view of fry chicken.
Help us out here, is Kimberly Oshon a man or a woman?. God knows we don’t want this one overturned on a technicality like getting someone’s gender wrong.

They started to go out district, stop them and murder them no court. Let the police do the job or hired people who will do it for free like me.
I grew up in Belize in the 60’s and it was a beautiful place to live up until the 80’s. We could go to movies, stores closed 9:00 pm at night. People were still on the streets 12:00 pm at nighttime. Now Belize is a sad place (no night life), comes 6:00 pm everything shuts down in Belize and it looks like a ghost town. I sold the home I owned in Belize and don’t even thing about visiting Belize anymore. Getting shot in Belize use to be unheared of. Now Belizeans get shot daily, all over the country. There is nothing to see in Belize, anymore. Visiting Belize you might get rob or shot, for real. I’m suprise that tourisim industry stiil does well in Belize. With all that said, I STILL LOVES BELIZE, IT IS STILL MY HOME, MY COUNTRY.
i am from belize and i love my country but the way things are are happing i pray that the goverment do something especilly the people that is not from come in there;come and do crime in our village and get away that is wrong ,i am praying that they give the family justic even you know,that they canot bring back the young man but you need justic,i feel the pain because i have son ,and i wouldnt like anybody to do that to my kids,because i would have to take ,the law in my own hand when it come to my kids.i pray that the lord deal with them
if these men are so NOTORIOUS as they called them why are they free to go from north to south east and west?
These men should be in jail, lock up doing hard work, shackles on chain from their feet and cleaning the highways.There is so much these notorious men can do in the country instead of going around killing at free will, A lot of work, they can pick up garbage, clean drains, and feed them in jail with only bread and water, see if they no try change their bad habits
These are low-budget criminals…they ride the bus…Good job by Police on catching them, now….either they give them life in prison or off with their heads.
I remember being a policeman in the late 70s. There was one bad man in the whole city (Dugal) and we used to take him up the road past the burying ground, whip his butt and let him walk back. You know in those days people used to be afraid of grave yard. We need to go back to those days.

The way i see it is that most of you people are just as bad as these criminals. We have to grow out of that one sided mind set and dig deep. I do agree that men like them are responsible for a great deal of the crime that happens in our country, but we have to hear their story and the true story not the made up ones to keep them out of the jail. Through analysis of these mens mind set we can create remedies for the crime that is taking over our country. It is like a virus that needs a cure, any smart man can tell you that in order to create an anti virus we first need to take from the virus itself.
