Lorenzo Garbutt shot in the jaw
There was more violence, but twenty year old Lorenzo Garbutt was fortunate and narrowly escaped death. Garbutt was shot at the corner of King and West Streets by one of two unidentified men who rode up next to him on bicycles. A single shot was fired and that bullet penetrated the back of Garbutt’s neck and exited the left side of his jaw. He also injured his forehead when he fell on the pavement. Since the shooting early Saturday morning, Garbutt remains in a critical condition at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. Police recovered a nine millimetre expended shell and a red T-shirt from the scene, but had no luck getting the cooperation of witnesses or finding suspects.
I suppose this one will make on the random list of shoots as well, and everyone is innocent.
Second one in less than a month, there is still a man with a shattered jaw who was shot on Far West St, same area, same scenario & Mr. Peters just a few blocks away. How much more will this community endure before they stand up & say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
Luckily he survived. I suppose their will be no luck knowing who the shooter was.
