Brother kills brother in Dangriga
As we mentioned earlier, the business community in Dangriga Town showed solidarity with Belizeans for Justice and many closed up shop for the day. But even before today’s show of support, the latest killing was reported in that southern town on Wednesday evening. Two brothers, twenty-one year old Denver and nineteen year old Denzel of the Wagierale area got into an argument that turned violent and then fatal. During the confrontation, Denzel stabbed his older brother once to the left side of his chest. Denver was rushed to the Southern Regional Hospital, but he did not survive the injury and passed away in a matter of minutes. Police have detained Denzel, but as to the charges against him, News Five has been informed that the Director of Public Prosecutions will decide if the matter will be treated as murder or manslaughter.

Brothers turn on brothers, sisters on sisters, neighbors on neighbors and the killings go on. This is even more terrible because the killers could not grasp what had been betrayed between bloods.
SENTENCE: public hanging.
As far as I understand, the younger brother was protecting the mother who was being assaulted by the older brother. Our young people r growing up with the messed up mentality that they r untouchable n don’t need to have respect for anyone, not even the person that brought them into this world. Murder is wrong, no matter what but sounds like a case of defense, not for self but for his mother – n if the boy that was killed could attack his own mother n brother imagine who else he’d attack.
Why would this idiot try to assault his mother?What about honoring you mother and your father?We’re living in the last days people the signs are obvious.
From the little information I got from a friend down south it looks like what Edith said is true. If it is the case then this is not murder, this is a case of manslaughter.
I say manslaughter because the older brother needed to be stopped from his attack but killing him might have been an excessive use of force. Lets see how this plays out in court.
Don’t be quick to judge the younger brother, lets wait for some more information to come up and yes murdering someone is never right, but self defense or the defense of a third party is a total different situation because killing can be justified both legally and morally.
Iam telling you people… something wrong with us parents…!!! WE ARE CREATING MOSNTERS…… That’s the root cause of evil in Belize….. But we as parents are happy blaming the police the government, the teachers…. anybody but ourselves….. We are cognizant of the poor parenting we do… but wont accept our fault… that’s why our children are darned spoilt…
and eventually grow into cold blooded killers!!!
let anybody warn us about the monsters we are creating…. and we’ll jump and defend our “innocent children that are victimized” by the police [or any other authority for that matter]…

Believe once and for all…. WE THE IMMATURE AND NEGLECTFUL PARENTS ARE THE REAL CAUSE of these evils!!!
My sympathies go to the parents and family of these two young kids. Especially the mother who has lost two – not one child. I believe that as parents we give our kids everything we possibly can to make them into responsible and ambitious adults. We cannot be blamed for what they eventually become or the direction they choose to take. i don’t no who is who but i sure no these guys since there were young i was just in griga n 1 of the 2 brothers was loosing his mind he was not him self if u r young u need to move out of griga to find a job as u get of age u will have to fend for yourself if u don’t choose to help yourself ain’t nobody’s gonna do it for u ….. peace its so sad i really hope its not my good friend 1 of the 2 goes by beever my condolence to the family in this time..

Parenting don’t have anything thing to do with this situation. you can be the best parents an your child can still do things you don’t like. everyone needs to give this family their privacy an stay away from what they don’t know. to evryone who commented on my brother ‘s death thanx very much….. even those who had something negative to say. And yes only GOD can judge them…. we grow up as loving brothers and sisters always together even as we grow up as adults we always make sure to keep in touch with each other and make sure that everyone is ok.
