A group of four heavily armed men who were intercepted by police in Ladyville on August second remain at the Central Prison following the rejection of their bail applications today.

They are nineteen year old Tevin Abraham, nineteen year old Jareth Usher, twenty-six year old Jamal Tablada and forty-six year old Floyd Davis.

A search of the men’s vehicle yielded an arsenal of weapons and related paraphernalia including various rounds of ammunition, compasses, masks and combat uniforms.

The men were jointly charged with preparing to commit the crime of murder.  When they were initially arraigned last month, they could not have been granted bail due to the firearm act.

On Tuesday in the Supreme Court, Justice Adolph Lucas heard an application on behalf of Davis, a taxi driver whose blue Crown Victoria they were all traveling in en route to Burrell Boom Village.  Representing Davis was attorney Hubert Elrington who argued that his client was only chartered to take the other three men to their destination.  The affidavit went on to state that Davis did so, not knowing that his passengers were armed and prepared to carry out a murder.  The DPP, however, objected to bail from the onset arguing that those types of crimes have become prevalent.  Justice Adolph Lucas has reserved ruling on the matter for a later date.

That’s a damn good story, I almost bought it, good going Hubert, I’m just grateful the judge was paying attention & didn’t fall for this BS.

The average taxi driver is hesitant to pick up one young man, this fool wants us to believe that he picked up three.Right & I believe that towel on his head makes him a Muslim.

  2. Peace says:

I hope these guys all go to prison for a long time. Possession of all these weapons should be enough to send you for a while to cool off. 46 years old grandpa with the kitchen towel on this head should be ashame.

  3. MADDYVANDIJK/DEREALIST says:

Bs, they are all guilty of this crime to commit murder.
The other fools can rat in jail, and if they are too stupid to finger the taxi driver as their get-away-driver then they all deserve the death penalty.

  4. Edith says:

They r all guilty. Its hard to believe the taxi driver didn’t know. I use to take taxi all the time home, n some taxi drivers tell u plain, they know the bad guys n they wont pick them up. Floyd must’ve at the very least known they were up to no good. For a couple dollars he’s locked up now. Charge them all, let then think twice abt the friends they have. Remember: SHOW ME YOUR FRIENDS N I WILL TELL U WHO U R!

  5. Belizeans fed up says:

please i am begging the system.. punish these men… will we wait until these men go kill someone then punish them.. prevent the crime before it happens.

  6. Crime stopper says:

Wasn’t a semi automatic rifle found between the driver and a passenger on the front seat while fueling up at the gas station. How can the driver not be aware their were weapons in the car? Hubert Elrington likes to make law makers and enforcers into a bunch of fools.

  7. rootsman says:

I hope the police have additional information on who they were about to go murder, by stating that they were en route to Burrell Boom one would assume that they do and that the intended victim is in Burrell Boom, since they would not make such a statement unless they know the intended destination and if the taxi driver was indeed on a charter then he should know enough information in order to assist the police with this case, however if he refuses to give information then you can safely say that he was apart of this gang.

  8. concern citizen says:

maybe the police should have try out the guns on them and see if they are working properly. perhaps the police can make better use of them later…….. Hats off to the cops who busted these fools. but not the best finish cause they will be out of jail in no time and continue their virtue.

  9. Proud says:
