Attempted Robbery at Caribbean Chicken
While cops try to solve the hundredth murder of the year, thieves were busy prowling the city to pounce on any unsuspecting victim. And they did on the north side of the city just hours later, but the attempt came up empty handed. The assailants, however, might have left behind just enough evidence to lead police to them. News Five’s Marion Ali reports.

Shortly after ten this morning two persons in a blue car reportedly pulled up close to Caribbean Chicken on Park Street in the Buttonwood Bay area and attacked a customer. News Five spoke with a witness who said that one of the youths that entered the business ordered a crate of Guinness stout, while the other pulled a gun on a customer. But the two assailants got an unexpected surprise when the customer, Kenrick Dawson, fought back. During the struggle, one of them hit Dawson in the head with the gun and it reportedly discharged. Startled at the quick turn of events, the attackers fled, leaving behind a black t shirt, a left foot slipper and two caps. Kenrick Dawson is receiving medical treatment for the injury to his head. Nothing was stolen in the incident.

People r fighting back. Kenrick was brave but stupid, they had a gun, I’m relieved he wasn’t killed. Again, things r bad n people r fed up with being the victim all the time. I hope police can track down these thieves n bring them to justice.
