Postmortem performed on men who died during tower accident
Post mortems have been completed on Twenty-one year old Michael Pandy and twenty-nine year old Keith Nicholas, the two riggers who died in a freak accident last Thursday. The men plunged one hundred and twenty-feet to the ground from a communications tower that they working on in Saint Margaret’s Village on the Hummingbird Highway. While attaching a thirty foot section at the top of the tower, a steel cable connected to a crane snapped and the men fell. Their fate was sealed when the section they were connecting came crashing down on top of them, crushing them to death. The post mortem concluded that Nicholas died due to traumatic shock from multiple pelvic injuries while Pandy was killed by multiple trauma caused by the fall.
