Shocking details revealed about 2008 murder of Sandra Ruiz

Shocking details were revealed in court today about the brutal murder of Sandra Ruiz, who was bludgeoned to death at her King’s Park home on August tenth, 2008. Darrel Grant is accused in the homicide and when Pathologist, Doctor Mario Estradabran, testified in the Supreme Court this morning, he revealed that Ruiz’ was being beaten repeatedly with a blunt object, believed to be a hammer. The doctor told the court that the culprit used such force that a single blow to the face fractured her head and skull, damaging the brain and causing it to hemorrhage. Ruiz also suffered a fractured jaw, broken nose, three fractured ribs and four trauma wounds to the chest. Other injuries included abrasions and contusions on the back that were caused by hand as well as bruises on her knees which indicate that she was kneeling for an extended period. In his very vivid testimony that lasted over an hour, Estradabran also disclosed that the post mortem indicated that Ruiz fought for her life, but died almost immediately from traumatic shock due to blunt force injuries to the head. It was also concluded that she was sexually assaulted prior to being murdered. Five other witnesses have taken the stand so far; one of them claimed that after the incident Grant tried to sell him assorted jewelry that was stolen from Ruiz’ house after she was killed. Trial continues before Justice Adolph Lucas in the Supreme Court on Wednesday. The case is being prosecuted by Yohhahnseh Cave from the DPP’s office while Grant is represented by attorney, Dickie Bradley.
Give him a fair trial, then hang him.
I really hope that justice will be served on this one and that this beast will spend the rest of his life behind bars, of course death would be more fitting but since that is only reserved for innocent animals I guess a life sentence will have to do.

I remembered living in belize as a litte kid there weren’t a lot of role models to look up too,but Dickie Bradley was one that we could of counted on.His innovative talk show was one that my dad (Dennis Desho Vaughan) and I would not miss, as we would get confortable in our chair to hear him fight for the people.His passion was electrifying, giving the strenght and hope for change and a better future for us his children.How have times change; the men that we called our voices in times when we cannot speak, stand for us no more.the rightousness that they had voy to stand on has now become rightous indignation, greed and uttere wickedness.No wonder the generation behind us is in such disaray, because without a head (men like Dickey and others) the body (the youths) run while.Dickey, we need you to be the head not apart of the body that the generation after you maybe able to turn to good leadership and prevent such catastrophy like with Ms. Sandra Ruiz and others before him.

I visited a very nice large village in Guatemala and was surprised to see all the monetary transactions done in public!!! – the market was busy – people paying out and receiving US dollars!!! —- and I thought that all was bad in Guate!!! – so I had to ask – Why is it so safe here?- – response was — In that village – the villagers had the say as to what went on – not the politicians – just the police could intervene, if they reached on time. Everyone knows they don’t. So – if someone was seen stealing – the whole market vendors would give a shot – yes – they would kill him – if there were 50 vendors – the thief would receive 50 shots. – no one could be accused by the police . People!!!, Attorneys seemingly appear to be insensitive to the reality of suffering, dread and fear gripping society as a result of these senseless murders and violence however, as much as Dickie appears to be perfectly fitted for the cap, he was granted this case as a legal aid by the Judge himself. the accused had no Attorney and Lois was too busy minting/milking BTL and SSB. I am sitting here wondering where are these criminals getting all this money to pay these Lawyers, everyone is saying the lawyers are doing what they are doing for all this big money. As I see it these criminals are not working people obviously so where are they getting money to pay these lawyers. I knew Sandra and she was one of the quietest, humblest person I met in Belize she nothing bad to say about anyone she took care of her kids and stayed out of other peoples business took care of her own. I still think of her from time to time and wonder how can something so awful happen to someone like her. RIP Sandra…..
My fellow Belizeans don’t blame Dicky, blame the GOB, bc if they had any sense they would hired Dicky as the DPP and Branker-Taitt-Vidal would b losing cases elswhere……… ( just my 2 cents)
