Spaniard Murdered on San Pedro Ambergris Caye

maria Plaza

Thirty-seven year old Maria Plaza, a Spanish flight attendant, was reported missing in San Pedro Town since Sunday. The tragic news tonight is that shortly before three this afternoon, her badly bruised, half-nude body was discovered at a yard in a busy area of town.  Plaza went for a stroll that took her less than a mile from her hotel, Corona Del Mar. Her body was found less than half a mile on the same stretch, just two buildings from the Belize Yacht Club. San Pedro businessman, Dennis Sunderman, who lives at the property where Plaza’s body was found, had been away from home since Sunday.  Today he got a call to alert him of the grisly discovery.  Up to news time, police were still at the scene awaiting the forensic expert to conduct a post mortem to determine how Plaza met her death. Since Monday, a search was going on for Plaza. When News Five’s Marion Ali visited the island today, she retraced the last journey that Plaza took. Here’s her report.

Marion Ali, Reporting

This morning, the San Pedro community took to the streets to hand out flyers of missing flight attendant, Maria Antonia Plaza Gomez, a thirty seven year old, from Spain.  Since last Friday Plaza had been staying at the Corona del Mar Hotel, a tourist resort on the south side of the island, but went missing on Sunday, just hours before she was supposed to check out of her hotel room and report back at Maya Island Air’s San Pedro office.  She did neither, and her employers, Swift Air of Guatemala and Maya Island Air Regional, grew concerned since Plaza was scheduled to board the two o’clock plane from San Pedro to Belize City on Sunday and then officially take on her duties as attendant on a scheduled three thirty flight from Belize City to Guatemala.

This shot shows Plaza leaving the front entrance of the hotel after breakfast around eight on Sunday morning, and the chronology of events that occurred thereafter never placed her further than a mile from the hotel.  But because concerned business persons from the island, led by entrepreneur Milo Paz, felt something was wrong, they retraced her steps that morning and shared those findings with us.

Milo Paz, Concerned San Pedro Businessman

“The young lady left Corona Del Mar at seven-fifty-eight and we know that because it is on their video surveillance camera. We know that she stopped at Ramon’s at the gift shop and she made a purchase. We can say that around nine-twenty-eight she made a purchase at Ramon’s. I can further tell you that she went to reconfirm her return flight to Belize with Maya Island at around ten thirty.”

From Maya Island Air Plaza walked back towards her hotel, situated about a mile south of the centre of Town.  On her way she met a man because the last person who gave an account of her, Arnulfo Escobar, a fruit vendor, told News Five that the two stopped at his makeshift counter to make a purchase, after which they continued in the direction of her hotel.

Arnulfo escobar

Arnulfo Escobar, Fruit Vendor (Translated)

“On Sunday at around eleven in the morning she came here to our stall with a gringo, a tall stocky-built man who had long hair and carried a backpack.  She purchased two packs of crackerjack and they left in this direction. (pointing up the street).”

Plaza walked with her male companion on this straight thoroughfare named Coconut Drive, a busy artery that leads from the north to the south of the island.  She headed towards her hotel, which is located about a half a mile away from the fruit stand on the same stretch.  But no one who lives or works in the area knew what became of her or her friend.  No one heard any strange noises either and it appeared that Plaza simply disappeared into thin air.

But it is not often that someone voluntarily skips town, leaving behind their money, travel documents, and other personal effects and is found safe after.  And that is why when news like this hits a tourist destination like San Pedro; it prompts the community to react.

Milo Paz

“The whole business community of the island has to worry because she was visiting in the capacity as a tourist and as a concerned businessman I am helping out today and as a friend of Maya Island to see where we can get to with this missing person.”

Reporting for News Five, I am Marion Ali.

    Another victim, this fkn Belize!
    When will this stop?
When there is a civil war?

  2. ChanChen says:

I bet there is a serial killer on San Pedro. If I were a tourist I would stay away from Sam Pedro. Too dangerous lately. But it will be hidden from the tourist eyes by Amergris Caye dot com and other pro San Pedro mediums who claim San Pedro is Paradise. San Pedro is not paradise. Lots of drugs, the aids capital of Belize and now serial killers. Stay away from San Pedro and Ambergris Caye.

  3. MADDYVANDIJK/DEREALIST says:

Unfortunately this woman life ended in such a tragic manner, but from this death the women of Belize need to take heed, learned to be more careful. So much can have happen to any woman in a short amount of time, or distance. (In Belize time and distance of any incident is always overrated). From the pictures taken outside the hotel she was carrying a purse, could have been a random robbery/rape and then murder by an idiot just waiting for an opportunity to strike, or vice versa.
Looks like another unsolved case to me.

  4. rod says:

wow even on la isla bonita people are getting murdered and a woman on top of it well where is this american guy the fruit vendor saw her with he is the last person seen with her must be another fugitive from the us hiding out in belize as we attract so many criminals from the us that you never know who they are could be a serial killer from the us who knows but san pedro is now part of the country suffering from crime as the rest of belize the isla gone to the dogs also.

  5. Islandfever says:

so sad! so tragic! Hope they find the person responsible. R.I.P.

  6. EL CHE says:

Could it be that the gringo killed her?if the gringo killed her,he might not be in belize by now,so they should check flights schedules, names, etc,hi might have gone to take a plane in cancun to,if he did he had to pass immigration, both belizean and mexican, his name have to be their.poor woman.another bad name for belize.

  7. EL CHE says:

Nothing has been ehard of thhe police and thier investigation, where are they?any leads?

  8. Sugar says:

Paty had the correct idea of what to do some years ago and people thought she was crazy…..U walk in SP and the ampount of ‘street’ people there just trying to hussle from the tourists is a shame…….and, i feel so bad that caye caulker is going down the same direction…….some corners look like if U in the middle of yabra….cum on…its time to do something and stop allowing tourists to get the wrong impression of Belize

  9. Common Sense says:

“the isla gone to the dogs also” – Rod, San Pedro went to the dogs years ago….ChanChen is correct…..San Pedro is an illusion of paradise, illusion maintained by the real estate agents and hotel owners. The reality is closer to hell.

I pray they find this long haired fat gringo as described by the fruit guy, although there are a lot of those on the island.

  10. Belive it says:

An Innocent person lost her life, became a victim of this criminal sespool….

  11. rootsman says:

That is a very sad situation, hope we don’t have a serial murderer on our hands here, with the description given by the fruit vendor that man she was with should be easily identified, as small as San Pedro is there has to be other people that saw that man and hopefully he can be brought in for questioning since obviously he is not going to voluntarily do so.

  12. Sas says:

This is so sad! I could have never thought they would have found her dead in San Pedro. I agree with some of the comments above, it’s possible that it could have been a foreigner that killed her. Another bad name for belize

  13. ivan cal says:

MR MIlo paz and mr.gach guerrero ,and the san pedro comunity are doing more than what the POLICE DEPT’ should be doing……san pedro shuks mein its really sad whats going on in our country and looks like our GOB no have no plan or vision in what they can do fi stop the crime situation we’re going tru, the 2 kids that disapeared from toledo district hasn’t been found…and I no hear notin from the police dep’t or GOB ,how the investigation is ongoing..and with dis murder I hope the murderer gets caught’ next ting I urge all parent to keep in mind ur children always keep a look pan dem and do’t send dem out fi buy da nite,or always have someone adult with dem’..and in san pedro there are key areas that does’t have light, what is the SAN PEDRO TOWN BOARD DOING ABOUT THIS! ……THEY ARE KEY AREAS AND ARE DARK….IF THEY CAN DO SOMETING TO AT LEAST HAVE LIGHTS INSTALLED TO THESE AREAS IT IS DANGEROUS FI ALL RESIDENTS’.i HOPE THE GRINGO GETS CAUGHT SOON”.

  14. sherry says:

Its not our Island to blame for these criminal acks, its the people that are coming to our island, the police need to deport those guys coming from belize city that dont have any job….they just come to our island and commit crimes and we are the one left to face the consequences, because tourism is our number one industry in belize , with out them we would go to rock bottom..so people its not out isla Bonita to Blame its the unemployed people that come to our island with nothing to do and crime to commit………

  15. Oscar965 says:

Chan Chen..I am from San Pedro Town and I am damn proud of this. We are a hard working community and the leading tourist destination in Belize. San Pedro Town lead the way in tourism when Belize had none. This murder is so tragic, my sympathy to the family and friends of Maria. San Pedro has pety crimes like any other town but murders like this are rare and few unlike other communities in Belize and around the world. Chen Chen wake up..its obvious you don’t care about San Pedro…but i do…and we will solve this crime..the community of San Pedro will solve it. And Chan Chen i hope the community that you live is crime FREE….

  16. Moh says:

Shame and disgrace for San Pedro and Belize on a whole; we cannot keep our citizens secure and worse the tourists. Some drastic measures are needed but GOB doesn’t have the recources or the WILL POWER to implement any major changes; the police dept. is like a headless chicken, our judiciary system is in shambles,; thieves, murderers, rapists and drug lords just walk free most of the time. The tourism board has to chip in and spend on “tourist police” ,on improving infrastructure etc. This is too much; again shame, shame

  17. Justice4all says:

Sherry, you are right. Crime is everywhere, not only at San Pedro; but every effort to try and correct the situation is turned into politics. Considering the fact that San Pedro is a tourist destination and plays a vital role in the economic welfare of Belize through its industry, we should take every step to protect our tourist. However I recall when certain political (PUP) attorney’s made an issue about freedom of movement when it was suggested that boats should prepare travel manifests like the airlines do and efforts should be made to weed out known criminals, some attorney’s in the likes of Mr. Saldivar, Ms. Shoman and others made a political scene out of it. Very sad situation indeed. We talk every day about controlling crime, yet when efforts are made to do it, there are those who vehemently oppose those efforts just for the fame of opposing. Perhaps we Belizeans need to also focus our efforts on fighting those who misrepresents the desires of the majority. Listen in Simeon Sampson and Dickie Bradley!!!!!!!!

  18. breezy says:

Sherry, have you lost you mind? Believe me when I say i am using much constraint in language
because what i would like to say to you would not be nice. But let’s not forget – San Pedro is Belize.
How dare you talk about deporting anybody. Deport – do you know the meaning of the word? Do you San Pedranos think you are better than anybody else? Has the bright complexions floating around you blinded you? There are murders from every class of people, and i’m using class in the general sense. Many of these tourists are criminals themselves.

  19. American tourist says:

I have been looking into going to Belize for a vacation. It does look like paradise and the people seem friendly. I have researched it diligently and now I must say…I do not want to take a chance with all that has been going on. I am talking about murders in the Cayes and not just the city. The police I understand are sketchy characters. The government does not take care of its people and they have no alternative but to turn to crime, begging, etc. I do hope things get better for all of Belize…the people must take a stand against corruption. You let a police officer go…even though he killed another police officer. Something is really wrong in Belize.

  20. Chami-Ka says:

Sad….I knew I had seen her before. My uncle reminded me that it was the same girl I was showing off my album to at the park on Saturday night. Its really sick. Hope the culprit is caught and dealt with accordingtly to the law.

My sympathies to her family. Another negative thing to add to Belize’s reputation. So sad.

    RIP Maria!

  21. Canadian Tourist says:

i am a Canadian tourist working in the media area of the country. i would like this news to be broadcast through Canada so that every Canadian knows what is happening in Belize. We go to Belize every year but this was the nail to the coffin. please share this information with the Tourism Board and the Leaders of your country. We will try to put a stop to every tourist to go to your country until this mess is cleaned up. what a beautiful country to destroy.

  22. Concerned Citizen says:

I hope the killer no come for Mr. Escobar. Canadian Tourist…..it would really not be fair to do that. I just think that tourist must be prudent when going out. They should be in groups or with trusted people. You cant trust someone u just meet today. Common!

  23. Sasha says:

Sad to hear this story, more crimes in the tourism industry. Maybe they should put a check point when boats and planes land, get the names of people visiting or if they are there for business . If you don’t live there, and are seen begging/harassing tourist they should be put in jail

  24. scubamom says:

Breezy, it is not about being deported or anything like that, it is not about being racist…The same way there are police check points at Boom Cut off and other major areas around the country of Belize where you are asked to show your ID, that is what we that live and care for the island want happening at the water taxi’s.
Let us take a look at our neighboring country mexico, when going to Cancun the police stop and ask you to take out your passport and show it. It is just so they have a list of names that are going to Cancun, Cozumel….etc
Patty had the right idea so many years ago yet no one listened, all she asked for is for the water taxi to have a manifesto of names nationality of people coming into the island, if Maya and Tropic have one why can’t the water taxi’s show one?
We care about our country we got to put a stop to this craziness that is going on, we have check points all over the country starting at the boarder where everyone who is visting or returning is written down let us do it for the entire country…
Patty Arceo is a woman of vision and she had it someone who cares for country and saw the problem arising before it got out of hand yet some Bsers did not want to listen,…here is the consequence…Every decision we make in life be it good be it bad has a consequence, no one listened to Patty Arceo years ago

  25. Mr. M says:

This is another horrible tragedy. Much sadness is felt for the victom and her family.Much concern for the Belize community as a larger family! Whoever did this terriable deed really needs to be brought to justice. It is unfair to speculate as to the nationality or origin of the criminal without real facts. That said, every time these small minded criminals strike it brings injury to the Jewel! These criminals think the will never get caught! We need an end to the crime and these stupid criminals, be they murders or petty thieves. Do we have to wait till there is no further foreign investment here? People don’t understand how much we have lost and will loose!

  26. frederick Blogs says:

The news leaves me sickened and saddened at the state of affairs not only in the “Isla Bonita” but in this beautiful country as a whole. This morning i left Belize City to travel to Caye Caulker – government workers begged for a dollar while they cleaned the drains, cruise ship passengers were greeted by piles of styrofoam strewn along the street, obvious drug addicts offered me “massage and more”, drugs were been smoked outside of the city council while police officers walked by. That was my morning, this morning in Belize………let us hope that we can solve Maria’s last morning in this beautiful country with challenging problems.

May your Soul Rest in Peace.

  27. concerned says:

First of all i would like to say how sad this situation is no1 should die in such manner but as a Belizean it bothers me because my country is getting such a terrible name. Murders and crimes happens all over the world even in the almighty america which some ppl may believe can do no wrong ppl disappear every damn day over there and believe me they will be found dead so just dont think that crime only happens it Belize , so for those who are blinded by america pls wake up. Secondly it seems this young woman was with an american man obviously he was the last one with her and must be looked into foriegners come into the country and befriend strangers that they dont know and sometimes go into some sticky situations that they shouldnt that may cause them their lives. Pls when u go to a new country dont be going with ppl u dont know this death may not be caused by a Belizean too many american criminals are hiding in Belize and we get the blame for it I hope this lady gets justice.

  28. Very concerned says:

Sherry, I am from San Pedro and your comment offended me. We can’t deport people from our own country. We can take measures in screening and seeing what they are coming to do and to keep an eye on them etc. As for crime it’s everywhere and it has hit our island once more, I think justice falls on the police department and the DPP office, let’s work together with no corruption in finding killers and letting them pay for what they have donel. Confirmed murderers are doing ridiculous jail time and are back on the streets. As for ignorant people just saying they will tell everyone not to come her watch your back yard and please don’t tell me there is no crime in your area. It is a shame for Belize and it’s so tragic and sad for the family, we have to stand our ground, push the town board to istall more lights in those places, protect witnesses and take no corruption from the police department. Definitely the police in San Pedro are corrupted and careless. Hope we can stand in one nation and fight against crime.

  29. Alexis Arzu says:

evvery time some1 goes missin its seems to be likely that the person has been killed. we need to stop blaming politicians. lets blame our brothers sister, reletives and friends because its not PUP or UDP (atleast when it is ordinary homicide) who tell me or you to go and kill that one. it seems that killing is now something that is interred in our society. Why cant people go back to the olden days when people would fight with fists and become friends with the person they were beaten up by? Nowadays any body is capable of being a killer in Belize so my advice is do not trust any one unless it is your mother or father becasue even siblings and relatives seem to be capable of killing each other.

  30. Common Sense says:

“Patty Arceo is a woman of vision”….scubamom, thank you!!! First time I have laughed for ages.

Patty did not have the vision to “screen” arrivals on the island, only voiced what many had been asking for sometime previous. Along the same vein as independence for San Pedro from Belize (although she had sense not to vocally support that idea). Lovely lady, messed up most things touched (remember the huge walls around Central park? DFC housing project that was jokingly named “Pattyville”?). At least we see Herredia around the island, during her height in powers she was abroad or in Cayo most of the time.

Anyhow, racial stereotyping on arrival will not help (likely that the killer is a “gringo” by the accounts in the news) – proper lighting on the beach, proper police patrols (or private South Ambergris Caye Neighbourhood watch type patrols) and round up of the hustlers and drug pushers is what is needed.

I moved from living on the island full time some time ago, but still regularly visit. I find it safer to walk around the north side of Belize City than the beaches of San Pedro. Exaggeration? Sadly not, especially in the case of a single lady. What makes this most frightening is the event likely occurred during daytime.

  31. Common Sense says:

    P.S. BIG UP MILO PAZ!!!!!!!

  33. scubamom says:

Ok so when Junior Heredia said the same exact thing what happened?………..Common Sense….? He was called a Racist am I wrong,…this is not about bringing whatever he / she did….PUP / UDP bull****. Both have made mistakes but yet both voiced the opinion of the people with the screening of who enters the island…My point is she said and asked for it first…When she said it everyone was against it, when he said it everyone called him a racist…? Why is it that Guatemala/Mexico can do this on their islands yet we cannot?
You so smart COMMON SENSE then use you common sense it is not about P or U it is not about what he she did in the past. What has Heredia done for the streets from Ritchies up to to the bridge? Oh I can start…the community have to make their own road for the San Mateo area, do not involve red or blue but lets force the persons at the water taxi to just make a manifesto.
Imagine that Maya Air had no manifesto to confirm passengers leaving and coming when would everyone have noticed that she never left the island? When asked what he thinks about the oil exploration he never gives a answer just answers politically….That is why I admire ELSA PAZ she put her foot down and said this is what I believe I do not agree even if her party is against her.
Women have more balls than men and can word their media talks better than a man

PASSENGER NAME PERMANENT ADDRESS WHERE WILL U STAY

Simple questions that can be answered between the ride from Belize to Caye Caulker and San Pedro..

  34. scubamom says:

Hey now personally the day Milo Paz goes up for either P or U I will be be there to give him my vote cause he always does great things for the community

  35. GUINEA GRASS Observer says:

    @Canadian Tourist

1.) We cannot demonize San Pedro for ONLY on murder.
2.) Statistically San Pedro is very safe in terms of the crime rate there.

    Observations:

1.) San Pedro Town Council can ask Water-taxi boat to ask the details of the persons, Belizeans and Foreigners) travelling to the Island that do not have a voters I.D. with a San Pedro address.

2.) If a Belizean person cannot provide an identification or a valid reason for travelling there; then, the Police should question the person for motives in travelling to San Pedro. For instance, a person cannot be a tourist without money or if he does not work there in San Pedro.

3.) Loitering should be illegal. Lazy people cannot be invading the streets begging for money or intimidating the tourist.

4.) GOB cannot do everything. There need to be a Police-Community-Business Partnership to keep San Pedro safe..

I hope people not only express their opinion but MOST IMPORTANTLY, PROVIDE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM AND POSSIBLE RECOMMENDATION.

  36. dr says:

If they aren’t searching other ppl and demanding their whereabout in other parts of Bze why should it be done in San Pedro only, ppl in San Pedro have to realize it is a part of Bze also and they dont have any special priviledges to it over any other Belizean. Profiling is just plain racist because I already know which culture of ppl will be stopped and questioned!

  37. scubamom says:

Thank you Guinea Grass I do agree with you completely…
@Dr I have been asked to show ID at many check points when traveling from Belize to Corozal and to Benque by Police at no moment did I feel threatened or being ratio profiling, police are doing their job….Those who always feel intimidated by this are those who got something to hide.. Once I had no ID since I had just gone to renew my Social, I was the only person asked in a packed bus to show my ID and I answered the Police I had none cause I had just gone to renew my social security, (why me was this racist) actually the conductor was from my village and said officer she is Belizean (Am so mixed I cannot pass for Spanish, Maya Mestizo, but I took no offense) It is being done at the check points on buses but not to everyone, and yes it should be done to everyone, I understand everyone needs to do their job.
Should I have gone and screamed hey you racist? Have you noticed something? when the topic racism comes up who are the only ones talking about it? When the word N is used in a conversation who is using it? When the word yellow belly P is used who are the only ones using it? So who you think are the racist? Your same race ain’t it funny….

  38. scubamom says:

    @Guinea Grass:
3.) Loitering should be illegal. Lazy people cannot be invading the streets begging for money or intimidating the tourist.
I asked someone here on the island who has been to jail and does not work, that all loiters (him included) should be taken to prison
he answers (yea good a will get breakfast lunch and dinner on time)
I answered no mother ***** you will work for your food and board at the prison either cutting cane or at the citrus plantations…
He answers (if you ever run a prison warden or for government I won’t vote for you)

  39. Justice4all says:

dr– It is obvious you haven’t travelled. Are you a racist? See, that is the first stigma that comes up. See if in Jamaica they allow people to look like hang arounds around the tourist; is that racist? Go to Playa and see that tourist areas are protected and even the locals who appear to look suspecious are removed; is that racist? The whole of the caribbean are trying to protect their tourism industry; is that racist. Come on Belizeans, wake up. Stop calling everything racial profiling. Action has got to be taken to protect our industry and country. I guess the cap is fitting some people,

  40. Maria Marshall says:

I am a Belizean living in the UK and return to Belize every year to visit my homeland, family and friends but recently as the crime situation worsens it is intimedating to walk any street in belize these days, and as much as I look forward to arriving there and seeing familiar faces and places it has become too much of a risk to take.
I am filled with sadness over all the atrocities going on in the land I was once so proud of.
My birthplace and that of my law abiding parents and grandparents, God rest their souls.

It should not be difficult to track down the murderer of Maria Plaza, considering the small area where she was last seen and where her body was found, there must be lots of clues about.

    Maria.

  41. Anti-Racism in Belize says:

Dr I agree with you and Sherry. What we need to do is test the San Pedranos for HIV when they come to the mainland. Absurd right? Well, that is how it sounds when you Subamom ask for a Belizean to show Identification to travel within their own darn country.

The bloody fruit vendor said it’s a gringo yet you want to link this with a Belizean? If it was a Belizean the vendor would have said so. Idiot!

  42. Milo Paz says:

Good afternoon to all and let me start by Giving the family of the young lady my deepest sympathies,on behalf of the Island of San Pedro and give thanks to all who helped in any way to get to that step of the investigation we are now and pleading to any one out there that might have any information to please come forword so we can make sure that the responsible person or persons come to justice, to my fellow Belizean Chan Chen if you really are from Belize,it makes me worry and at the same time understand why our country is in the position we are in at the moment, but let me tell you all that Belizeans in a whole are the most caring and understanding in the world, so to you the American and Canadian tourist let me say that my apologies goes out to you and at the same time tell you that the drastic measures that you are planning are not the right choice to take and I personally invite you to contact me so i can show you that belize is the Paradise we talk about.
I would like to take this oppourtunity to give all persons that helped in any way and are still behind this investigation, so we get to the bottom of this THANKS.

    MILO PAZ

  43. Nicky P says:

What is this country becoming? the GOB needs to do something because this something serious. it will be a big drop in our tourism sector.

  44. jj says:

I agreee with dr, belize is a free country do not become like america mexico and others. know freedoms and racial profiling. crime will be in any country but as free belizean we must fight it.

  45. Common Sense says:

Scubamom – nice reply! Politics really should be kept to pre-election, once elected, colour/party should become redundant. Not sure why you are bringing politics into this argument. It makes no difference whether it was Patty or Herredia, problems continue to grow and you will continue to be distracted from these problems looking back to the bliss of Patty’s reign!

Agree – the street from Richies to the bridge was promised and not done, just the same as the far more pressing issue of Slum just north of the bridge. That is pre-election promises – most of which does not come to fruition.

But like I said, and back to topic – screening/profiling/logging names etc will not work. Constitution guarantees freedom of movement within Belize to all Belizeans – AND THAT HAS TO REMAIN. This is not the UK or the USA where you are recorded every step you make, thank Allah. Proper lighting, patrols and clearing up the hustlers and drug dealers will help immeasurably.

Now go back and continue to complain about politicians and parties etc nothing will change there and you will continue to be distracted whilst more problems will continue to surface.

Choo! Unu try and lecture me on the PUDP!!!!

  46. Lisa Ingraham says:

    To dr.

What other solution you may have? I am an american living in San Pedro and San Pedranos are not racists, they are most friendlist people i ever met. I never saw any motive for racism. If you have another solution that profiling what else can we do to make the island safer.

  47. Pelican says:

Mr Canadian, is your country free of murders? Don’t come with that crap about stopping folks from coming. Processing people!!! Hey, if I do not want you in my house you can bet your last dollar you will not get into my house. Sorry amigos but say it as it is, I have lived long enough to know the scum of this earth….

  48. Andrew says:

It is a shame for what is happening in Belize. The crime level in Belize has gone out of control and nothing is being done by this government. Our judiciary system is weak! An innocent jaguar was killed because he killed a human. People, lets be real here; an animal characteristic and instinct is to defend itself, not knowing the outcome of such happenings. We humans, we know the difference between good and bad. it is not human characteristic to be killing other humans!! Therefore, I believe that the community and the government should react and start to get rid of these murderers and criminals just like they did with the jaguar. But again, there are lawyers, such as Dick and P, who there concern is the money and not the welfare of our country, thus, they defend the highest of criminals.
