Viewers want Commission of Inquiry into Immigration Scandal

We asked on Thursday, if a commission of inquiry should be named to look into the recent immigration scandal. The results of the poll are in and eighty-seven percent said yes to the commission while thirteen were not convinced a commission would make a difference to get to the bottom of the reputed smuggling ring. One viewer who voted in favor said: “This is bigger than we think. Don’t punish the guard who did not report it.  No one can land a plane load of people in any country without someone in high places knowing.”

  1. GUINEA GRASS Observer says:

    PLEASE REPORT ON

Barrow’s administration planning to grant permanent resident status to an estimated 20,000 illegal immigrants living in Belize.

    Issues:

1.) This issue has not been publicly disclose by GOB. Why???
2.) They are planning to SELL a Belizean Identity for just $250. Is GOB crazy???
3.) This program will cost approximately a quarter of a million of GOB. we dont have money to waste when there are so many Belizeans needing help.
4.) They also want to do this to facilitate the AGENDA of the Human Smuggling Ring,
5.) They will sell the identity and ensure UDP votes without having a PLAN for proper PROCESSING of this immigrants. why no Background checks???? Drug Lords, Murderers, Terrorist can become Belizeans now and commit crime under a Belizean Identity???
6.) The period required to apply is too low. It should be changed from 2years to 5 years for residence and 10 years for citizenship.
