Inside his home, Keith Middleton shot to the chest

Three hours later, there was another victim of gun violence. The first attempt on Keith Middleton was back in October, but on Monday night Middleton was shot in confines of his home and in the presence of his girlfriend. The blast caught him in the chest but so far he has survived both attempts. News Five’s Isani Cayetano spoke to his girlfriend who witnessed the assault.

It has been a little over three weeks since twenty-four year old Keith Middleton came under fire from an unknown assailant whilst standing near a tacos cart on Fabers Road. During that incident he was hit in both legs when a gunman let loose a volley of bullets at him. These aluminum crotches strewn across the floor of his wooden apartment were his means of getting around until sometime after nine o’clock on Monday night when his attacker returned in a second attempt to finish him off. 
Death literally came knocking at his door on Levi Slusher Street but it was yet another unsuccessful bid at executing him. Middleton was caught again, this time in the middle of his chest by a single gunshot fired at close range. His plate of food remains on the floor where he fell to the ground bleeding. His girlfriend tells the story of what happened.

“Last night I come home from my cousin dehn. As I reach home I warm my food and then me and Keith mih di eat and watch TV and then we hear somebody walk upstairs and knock and holla ‘Loose’. Ih holler Keith. Then ih holla all kinda name, then ih di holla, ih di holla. Ih say ah got something fu yo, ih say mek yo gial come outside ahn come fu it and then when I open di door di bally push di gun eena my face and then ih gaan inside and ih shot Keith eena ih chest.”
According to Middleton’s girlfriend they were not able to identify the shooter as the entire ordeal was over within a matter of seconds.

“The bally mi got on wah white shirt and wah black hat, tall and dark skinned. Only that I see, I noh recognize ih face.”
It is a situation that the family is still coming to terms with having visited him before at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital on October fourteenth when he was shot the first time.

This time around Middleton remains at the KHMH in a critical condition.

It is apparent that Keith Middleton is a marked man but his girlfriend doesn’t know why he is wanted dead.

Incidentally, resting on the couch next to where he was shot is a copy of the Holy Bible inscribed with his name; a sign that he may have been looking to God to change his life when evil reared its ugly head again. Reporting for News Five, I am Isani Cayetano.
i don’t want to sound pessimistic but its too late.
Think carefully before getting involved in gangs and illegal activities because you will end up either dead or in jail.
We cannot fix the problem until we are willing to acknowledge it. Somebody knows why he is a target & if he survives this attempt, there is no reason to believe that we have heard the last of him.
Let’s try something different; tell us why he believes he is being targeted, they/he may find that a truce can be negotiated because this silence has prove to be deadly.
This man is a target for a reason, no doubt because of the manner he lived his life. Perhaps if he had lived by the ways of the bible things could have been different for him. His girlfriend life was always in danger, but she has no idea why her man remained a target, nonsense, yet he sent her to open the door when death came knocking. The streets are becoming less dangerous with them on their way to hell.
Ok, this is all I gots to say…apparently, the justice isn’t being levied out by the “system” so the streets own it now. If you read the news you will see that these men that are getting shot dead were all connected to a previous crime and it’s just retaliation. I just wish the relatives would stop say that they don’t know why they wanted their loved ones dead when they know fully that they have this kind of history. So when a man fall like this the police just do the basics so that we think they are trying…we have turned into savages.
yes duh your right belizeans are turning into savages but why because their is no kind of leadership in the land and corruption breeds corruption plain and simple .
Ok, first off Keith is a bad man, i knew him from he was a teen, getting into trouble, stealing, bringing drugs to school, bringing guns to school and boasting about his gang and fighting all the time, obviously he f’ uped someone during or after the process! He was shot already, and shot again! Obviously he is not a saint, he is a WANTED man,but if you are trying to turn to God, then that is great! Only God can save him.
Men no body comes close to death twice and then live. Keith men speak up Jah is giving you a second chance you know what going own in the streets. Speak up men lives depend on it.
The law of the land is catchin up with him he kill before and now he is tryin to beg god for forgiveness but its too late for this guy he have to pay with his own life that’s how god work you caunt do to others n don’t expect it not to come back to you
