Paralyzed from shooting, Anthony “King” Major relives incident
The violence was not confined to San Pedro, in the city a man who is no stranger to the courts, was violently shot on Friday night. In June of 2009, Anthony Major a.k.a. King of Pinks Alley, was arrested during a botched robbery attempt at Tong’s Supermarket. During that incident, his partner in crime Richard Flores, the primary suspect who allegedly threw a grenade in front of the K.H.M.H. during the 2008 Carnival parade, was shot and killed by the store’s owner. Now Major was gunned down while walking through an alley that intersects with Hyde’s Lane. Major was shot in his chest but somehow he survived. With a bible in his hand and a tear in his eye, he told News Five that the injury has paralyzed him.

“Friday night I don’t know the way of the alley way. I was approached by two fellows. I saw one of them hand the next one the gun. And say you do not business around here. That’s when one of them shot me in my chest.”

“When you woke up was it in the hospital? Do you know what happened after?”

“I was in the hospital when I woke up. I don’t know what happened.”

“Did you recognize any of the two guys?”

“No sir.”

“Maybe an old beef is responsible for it (shooting)?”

“No sir.”

“At this point what have the doctors tell you regarding your injuries?”
Anthony Major
“The spinal cord damaged. Cause the two legs to paralyze from the bullet wound. The bullet enter my chest, exit the back but it damaged the spine. So it paralyzes the two foot. That’s what d doctor told me. After when the swelling from the spine go down.”

“Mr. Major what do you do for a living?”

“I’m a laborer.”

“This will hamper your ability to earn an income right?”
Anthony Major
“Big-time. Bigtime. This will slow me down.”

“You have any family? Kids, wife?”
Anthony Major
“Yes sir. That’s my mother right out here. My sisters, niece, nephews, daughter, they really mess me up right here.”

“This is going to be a big change in life for you. Are you emotionally prepared to being in a wheel chair?”
Anthony Major
“Well, with the help of the father, brother. I’ll pray to jah for me to get back on my two feet and walk again.”

“Has anyone tried to attack you before?”
Anthony Major
“I’ve had a little misunderstanding before. We’ll leave that part like that.”

“I know it’s difficult but with your family, I know you will find a way through this.”

“Yes sir. With the help from the father, I’m gonna hang in there and see what is going to be the result.”

“Yes Sir, Psalms. Number one in the bible that I like to read. That’s what I read but I am getting tired.”
When he leaves the hospital, King is likely to be confined to a wheel chair.
it is funny how people act after being visited closely by death. this guy now bed ridden seems to turn to the bible when he could have done it when he had the health and ability to walk around his neighbour hood with it helping his brothers to turn to God. Now he triesto give what is left to God. God forgives anyone anytime but we shouldn’t wait when we’re in desperate times of our lives to turn to him. We should give God what we can when we’re healthy also not when bedridden and the wrath of our wrong doings has reach us to turn to the bible. mein, youths your wasting precious life that God gave, so please stop being thuggs and try better your lives instead of terrorising the community. i hope and pray that he really appreciates the second chance that the Lord almighty has given him and that he really changes his life.
This was long overdue. King was wanted for the robberies in belama recently not to mention the other numerious STUFF he has done. God is fair. Nobody will miss him

Could it be that the victim of these crimes are now hiring criminals in order to get some type of justice since the legal system has failed to do so?

I totally agree with all u guys..he is just a big Theif and Crack head that love jail and he don’t work mussy make his hands sticky on other ppl belonging he call being Laborer..lol..and he talking about daughter Bull S**T his daughter not even live in Belize..Im not saying it gud for him but u cannot live 1 way in life u have to change some how but i guess he wasn’t going to change until this happen to him and if he still go to jail and wanna theif when he in his wheel chair then i kno u a really..really sick man but Poor thing every fat foul have there day the gud Lord neva sleep he always looking down on us.
at “sabuskii”….please think before you make a comment. God would never turn his back on his people no matter what. A wheelchair doesn’t stop someone from serving God or spreading his word. Don’t get me wrong……I am in no way, shape, or form agreeing to his present/past behavior.
