Anthony’s boots were made for walking with Carlos Perdomo

The two politicians have been going toe to toe and they have also looked for support from heavyweights within the party.  News Five caught up with Minister of Works, Anthony “Boots” Martinez who says he is publicly supporting Perdomo, who has worked with him since their election in 2008.

“To me it’s looking positive for Mr. Perdomo who is the incumbent. I think he has the edge based on incumbency. He is representative, he is the duly elected area representative and the incumbency brings its own weight. In other words, I as a seasoned politician knows that incumbency should bring at least three hundred people exactly with you. I don’t care how unpopular you are in a constituency, three hundred people out of four thousand and add people; you must have three hundred people supporting you: people you have done things for, people you have reached out for, people you have visited. So I believe that he has the edge being the incumbent and also with the time frame of the Convention in terms of not a long time.”

As we said, the voters will decide on Sunday.

Perdomo is useless no $hit and I believe he has too much unanswered questions about the whole Immigration scandal. But since the PM does not see it necessary for a Commission of Inquiry, I guess we shall remain in the dark and continue to speculate.

As for the Caribbean Shores Convention: WHO CARES? It’s just another case of exchanging monkey fu black dog. I’m sick of all these self serving lot.

Boots Martinez just confirm that Belizeans vote can be bought for a few dollars and some favors, I guess like some plywood or a couple pieces of zinc. So please Belizeans do not complain when your children have no shoes, your house falls off the stilts and there is no money to fix it , remember you sold your vote and your future for nada, nothing, while the idiots who say they have a right to a position becasue they are in the position screw you some more.

How come we have these ignorant people as ministers? don’t we have educated people who can at lease speak properly? or is politics in Belize just for the uneducated? come on people your vote is very important, these politicians represent you , they are your voice, who you put in office tells a lot about you and your character, Belize is very small, we know each other… come on people!

  4. BZNinCALI says:

PUP had incumbents running in the last election & they lost. Do not take votes for granted, it is very disrespectful to the people you are asking to support a minister who may not have been the one who set up the immigration scam but failed to act decisively when he became aware of it. Some heads should have rolled, every rat or suspected rat who was getting paid to look the other way should have lost their diplomatic status.

Now Mr. Perdomo, get up, speak for yourself, cry if you want to & let your constituents decide. Your opponent is a part of a city council that cannot even get garbage picked up without being picketed. Belize need people who can get things done to improve the country & curb the violence in the city. People your vote is worth more than a sack of ham & 10 lbs of rice.
