Truck and car mash up, but car driver runs from scene

The scene of a traffic accident near Hattieville was a mess; the smaller of two vehicles involved was ripped in two. The second vehicle was a BNE flat bed truck heading to the Ladyville.  The Toyota car, traveling at a high speed from the opposite direction, slammed into the side of the BNE truck. Whether due to fright or otherwise, its two occupants fled the scene following the crash. The area was cordoned off immediately and police used canine dogs to sniff out the two persons who disappeared in the nearby bushes. Fortunately there were no fatalities. News Five’s Delahnie Bain was at the scene of the accident and spoke to a very shaken BNE driver.

Delahnie Bain, Reporting

A BNE Truck heading towards the Northern Highway on the Hattieville/Boom Road this afternoon was surprised by an oncoming small speeding vehicle. The result was a collision that left both vehicles on the roadside.

Voice of: Marvin Chable, BNE Truck Driver

“When I was driving coming through, I was heading to Gentrac to handle a big generator. When approaching the curve, I saw a blue small car coming with a high speed and then they couldn’t control the vehicle. Then they hit me on the passenger side and drive me off the road.”

Delahnie Bain

“Was there anything you could have done to avoid the vehicle?”

Voice of: Marvin Chable

“Yes, I was trying to avoid them but I couldn’t and they get it and I get it too. The car—the back of the car get it and part of the car stayed on the back of the truck.”

Marvin Chable, the BNE truck driver, luckily escaped injury. But the occupants of the small Toyota car were nowhere to be found after the crash, which totaled their vehicle.

Voice of: Marvin Chable

“I try to come out from the truck. I took off my seatbelt and came out of the truck and gather all my things. When I come out I went over there, the two persons that were in the small vehicle, they were gone, they ran.”

Delahnie Bain

“And when you saw them approaching you didn’t get a look at the driver?”

Voice of: Marvin Chable

“Well, only the driver but I didn’t see his face clear. But they hit me though.”

The K-9 unit was called to the scene and sniffed out the occupants of the car near the roadside. But they managed to escape further into the bushes.  Delahnie Bain for News Five.

Up to news time, the occupants had not been located but Ladyville Police say they know their identity.

Are we living in the land of the moronic and stupid? I mean seriously, how many accidents happen on these roads on a monthly basis, people witness the carnage it even gets shown on t.v. and these goddamn retards still barrel down the road like there is no tomorrow.

I mean i drive a lot and every single trip i take i can count at least 5 or more near miss accidents.

It seems that too many people in this country simply fall right of the retarded tree, why the hell don’t they just go commit suicide and not hurt or kill innocent people, that’s all i care about cause i certainly thank God for taking the retards when they kill themselves, good riddance to bad rubbish.

What was the worse that would happen to them, a ticket & fine for reckless driving or drunk driving or driving without a license or proper insurance? Now the idiots compound the situation by fleeing the scene of an accident. After they are caught, if they have drivers licenses, both of these fools should lose the privilege & as a part of their community service for their stupidity, forced to clean up the debris at accident sites for the next two years in addition to paying to repair or replace the truck.

Lias Marie, don’t start hissing, flight is an admission of guilt!

Another accident, better yet negligence on the Belize Motor Speedway. I drove on those narrow @ss highways. They are not design for high speed driving. The driver is lucky he survived such carnage.
