Two women charged for theft

Cassandra Sutherland

Two women were arraigned today for Theft. A sanitation worker, Shirley Arnold, was also charged with aggravated assault upon Walter Campos, the proprietor of Nutri Natura. Campos reported to the police that last Saturday, two women entered his business, one took a yellow blouse and a blue jacket from a hanger, put it in her bag, and left the store. Hours later she returned and when he confronted her, she pulled out a knife to attack him but failed. The woman fled and was stopped in her tracks by the police. The cops claim they found on her the yellow jacket and when they detained Arnold’s friend, Cassandra Sutherland, they allegedly found the stolen blue jacket.  In court this morning, Arnold was arraigned and charged for stealing a jacket from Walter Campos and one count of aggravated assault for pulling a knife and attacking him. She pleaded not guilty. Sutherland was charged with a single count of handling stolen goods. Both are to return to court on January tenth.

Girls, we are having enough problems with our young men, cut the crap. Just imagine what would have happened if this man pulled a gun & actually used it to neutralize your knife. There is no piece of clothing worth your life. Cassandra, choose better friends.

Shame on these girls….give them six years minimum in par with the old man that got 6 years for stealing 22 bottles. What do you think people?

  4. belizeanpride says:

i agree with you Proud Belizean since the 6yrs for stealing bottle seems harsh let these brats be jailed also for the same time. hoping that they learn a lesson. Jeez mein, this really look rediculous and stupid what these young ladies did, no shame at all.

The report says both are to return to court on Jan 10th. Does that mean they were released, or remanded?

If released, they have the whole XMas season now to thieve at will!

They both deserve locking up, but will probably escape a custodial sentence. The one with the knofe should have been also charged with carrying an offensive weapon, as she clearly intended to use it. Perhaps it would have been better had the shopkeeper been armed and took her out in self defence???

nothing is going to happen, except that they were caught, the clothes will be returned, luckily no one got hurt. Women stop your nonsense and go find a job, or volunteer at the OLD FOLKS HOME, do something good for yourself and community.

Look at this thief!!! She bring shame to women kind, make her do time and thanks for putting her picture up so that everyone can be on the look out when this thief come to shop. She look like she’s a professional and I’m positive this is not her first time. Give her 1yr for the theft and 5 for pulling a knife.
