Deserving father from Mango Creek wins $107,500 Lotto Jackpot
Over the years there have been many lotto winners, but we find the latest winner to be absolutely deserving. Sebastian Mucu hails from the south; he is the father of a six year old daughter in urgent need of medical attention and if that was not a challenge on its own, he also cares for his sisters and mother. When we caught up with him today at the Lotto offices, Mucu had already figured how he will put to use the jackpot winnings. News Five’s Delahnie Bain reports.
Have you ever had a dream worth thousands of dollars? Twenty-seven year old Sebastian Mucu from Mango Creek dreamt the winning numbers for Saturday’s lotto draw with a jackpot of one hundred and seven thousand, five hundred dollars. And it must have been fate, because the win came at a time when his family needs it more than ever.
Sebastian Mucu, Lotto Winner
“When I found out, I didn’t hear the same night when the lotto was playing because I’m working and the Sunday when the lottery draw play they announced it again and then I heard it and until Monday morning I went to check it with the place where I bought the ticket and I saw it’s my number and I feel glad now. I was looking to borrow a loan. I went to the Scotiabank and they told me that I am not qualified to get the loan because my salary was low. I have a daughter that’s sick so I really have to ker ah dah hospital and out of the country. So I really needed to find some money and I was worrying and wondering where I could get this money. But I feel glad now that I win the lotto and I will try my best to get her cured.”
The winnings will finance the much needed medical care for Mucu’s six year old daughter.

“How long has she been dealing with that?”
Sebastian Mucu
“Like two years now.”
Delahnie Bain
“So how have you been taking care of those expenses all this while?”
Sebastian Mucu
“Sometimes I got and sometimes I don’t. I just have to try my best to get help because I don’t want to lose her.”
Mucu is also the breadwinner for his siblings and mother.

“I also have my sisters that are in high school and I’m helping her because I am the oldest son. My father died five years ago so there’s nobody else to take care of them and I’m taking care of them because my mother—we are a poor people. We don’t have money so I’m just trying my best to work hard and get some money to help my family.”
After taxes, Mucu received a cheque for ninety-one thousand three hundred and seventy-five dollars Delahnie Bain for News Five.
Not bad for a dream.
congratulation and may you have the health of your daughter recover, it’s happines when people seem to use the money wisely.
I think God does perform miracles for good honest people in need and their are not many blessings happening these days so I think you should be most grateful to God Mr. Mucu and I do hope and pray that your baby girl gets better soon.
I am extremely happy about this man’s fortune! God knew his burden, and provided him with at least some financial relief.
Hey congrats bro. well deserve
Sebastian, Try a Credit Union but DON’T take your money to Scotiabank!!!! While most banks are heartless, Scotiabank’s the worst–arrogance is the name of their game!! Blessings to you and your family!
I hope nobody tries to rob him.
