Suspected murderer, Gabriel Salazar Villafranco, given bail of $5000
He was handed over to Belize after he was shot in Honduras a few weeks ago along with Alexander Edwards and Benjamin Peters. Edwards and Peters were killed and today a bail application was heard for Gabriel Salazar Villafranco, the man who police believe was linked to this year’s Spanish Lookout armed robbery and murder. But the bail application has to do with another incident which occurred in Punta Gorda on September twentieth when Salazar allegedly kidnapped and robbed Carlos Juarez. He was remanded to the Belize Central Prison in Hattieville on the charges. This morning before Justice Adolph Lucas in the Supreme Court, bail application which was argued by his attorney, Simeon Sampson who was unaware that the DPP was opposing bail for his client. At two this afternoon, the DPP’s representative, Yohhahnseh Cave laid the grounds of their objection as to why the court should not grant bail to Salazar/Villafranco. Later in the afternoon, bail of five thousand dollars was granted.
“Simeon Sampson who was unaware that the DPP was opposing bail for his client” my rear end! if he was genuinely unaware, he should be struck off, and removed from the Bar!
So now we have a murderer back on the streets, and he’s only going to do it again. whoever he kill Mr. Sampson, that blood is now firmly on your hands!
Honduras he ain’t returning cause he is a dead duck anytime he lands there.
Abscond he will as he is not the kind to face a judge. Whenever he fails to show up in court, the system must endure that it collects on the $5,000 (although it should have been more) and not allow it to go uncollected as is the regular practice. Hence the reason why the bail system is the biggest national joke.
Bet if anyone one of us would stand for a loan at the bank for another person and that person does not repay the loan, the bank will be coming straight at you to repay the loan. Hence the reason why getting someone to sign for you at the bank , is so hard. This should likewise be the case for bail but unfortunately this is not the case as crime continues to spiral out of control.
I’ll bet he will commit more crimes just to pay the ridiculous bail. WHAT JUDGE DID THIS? The public deserves to know the names of these people to hold them responsible for the future harm done by the people they pamper. I will view the judge as an accomplice to this criminal’s next crime.
Please someone tell me how do you give a suspected murderer bail of $5000. after they already committed the murder and ran to Honduras. Watch him go to Mexico or Guatemala this time. Fools, fools, fools for prosecutors, take their diplomas and burn them.
