A plane ticket could change the life of a young man with a tumor

Christopher Bowman

On Friday’s newscast we highlighted the sad story of Christopher Bowman. He is the  twenty three year old youth who is suffering from a massive tumor that has grown on his chest and which is also now dangerously close to his spine.  Bowman has kept hope that he will be able to receive the surgeries that would save his life.  His mother Odessa Orosco stopped by our studios this morning, in a tearful plea for her son, whose condition is worsening. Orosco says she isn’t looking for a monetary donation but for a plane ticket that can get the youth to relatives in the United States.

Ms Orosco, I’m sure that everyone in Belize know about your son’s dilemma as he has been featured on even International TV stations. I’m pretty sure that if you talk to the managers of the Airlines, you’ll receive help with the plane tickets.

As for the US visa, perhaps you may try and contact the Prime Minister or at least your area rep to see if either of them would make an special appeal to the US embassy on your son’s behalf. I know of many cases where letters are written by Ministers or Area reps on behalf of Visa Applicants with special circumstance like you son.
