Ammunition charges dismissed, but cops re-arrest suspects

Also in court, five men who were busted on September seventeenth had a brief taste of freedom today.

A charge against them for the possession of a nine millimeter pistol loaded with the ammunition was dismissed, but they were detained again as they exited the court. Jeffrey Flowers, Steven Flowers, Tylon Tillett, Charles Young Jr. and Robert Gilharry were arrested back in September following the discovery of the Luger brand pistol loaded with twelve live rounds.

The weapon was tossed out of a green Toyota Camry in which the men were traveling in the area of Calle Al Mar. This morning, Prosecutor, Sgt. Pablo Pikney had witnesses lined up but asked for an adjournment.

Magistrate Albert Hoare struck out the matter for lack of evidence. Relatives of the accused were outraged over the re-arrest. Submissions were made in court by attorney Arthur Saldivar for Jeffrey and Steven and Ellis Arnold on behalf of Tylon.

They claim that the rights of their clients were violated. Young and Gilharry, however, were not represented. All five are to return to court on Tuesday.
black man again. jeez every single news is of black man this, black man that. Where is the black community going? Come on people, lets not let this ethnic group slump to disgrace, show the belizean community within our borders and international that black man can be positive. It’s really a concern to me as a belizean and a person interested in seeing that our country get’s better. Parents teach family values, morality and give love to your kids if not we end up like this people being finger pointed as criminals, as law breakers. People, if you want to live in peace and don’t want to worry about bullet finding you in your sleep. Start giving up your no good family memebers up to the law and clean our streets. Stop holding on to these devils because you feel somewhere deep deep deep inside they have wah angel waiting to get out! Look at Tillett you can’t tell me he no have the face of a murdering rapist. same for J. flowers and gilharry. Charles Young look like a stupid kid who willing to do anything to be recognized as a bad boy no matter how evil. Steven flowers look like he would sleep with children with that arrogant smirk on his face! Don’t tell me you want these men walking around with guns? Yes rearrest them, they’re nothing but trouble waiting to happen! I’m sick of seeing black man on the news shaming the whole race with bad behavior, I’m sick up to me throat with it.
Fathers need to stay home and show their son’s what it means to be a good man instead of going around like a whore making kids here and there and not raising any of them! You are the root of all that is wrong in our society when you abandon your post to be a man whore instead of raising your kids. Mothers as always have to end up raising men when they don’t have a clue on how to mold and shape a good man because they willing to take anything from man just to have somebody. Everybody need to look in the mirror and ask themselves what they can do to be apart of the solution and not apart of the problem. STOP Shame me race aahha!
