Francel y Chami-ka featured on Shadowyze’s new video and song
Musicians, Francel Y Chami-ka, have made several appearances on this station, and most recently on Gimme Five. The rap duo from Belmopan previously collaborated with a Grammy nominated artist from Florida named Shadowyze on one of their Reggaeton tracks. This time around Francel y Chami-ka’s talent will be featured on Shadowyze’s album. Chami-ka stopped by our studios this evening to promote the video for the song Cold in a Cup.
Chami-ka, Musician
“Our newest video it’s called “Cold in a Cup.” It’s a different type of music. It’s actually hip-hop. The beat was produced by Marcus Allen, aka Evil G. Who is one of the co-producers of Battle of the Sexes for Ludacris. This song and video is Shadowize featuring Francel Y Chami-ka. Shadowyze is at the moment in the U.S. so I came out to introduce it to Belize.”
Jose Sanchez
“The video itself, what do we see in it, what do we hear?”
Chami-ka
“The video we shot different scenes in Cayo district—different areas. It’s a different type of music like I tell you, it’s a hip hop. It’s more rap type of thing. We are working with different producers in the US. Marcus Allen is one of them. We’re working also with another producer called Peckos Thrill. We gonna be doing another video shoot in January that’s for a collaboration that we are doing with a girl from Hollywood. That’s going to be big next month too. So we’re doing a lot of work with producers from abroad.”
Francel Y Chami-ka’s CD’s are available at music stores countrywide.
Good Work Guys….!!
nice work guys, bring it on, show the talent that our jewel have to the world. Big up francel y chami-ka
I really don’t mean to be negative or sound like a hater, but I saw a video on TV…the one they filimed on San Pedro, the effects are cool, but then again, all these artists, singers today copy one another. Why can’t they do something unique. Its all about drugs, alcohol, smoking, ladies in bikinis, bling bling.
When I see that it makes me sick. You see…we have the fault, our society is they way it is, what are we teaching our children, NON-SENSE. Rappers all they do is flash car, ladies, alcohol and guns. No wonder our youths are being poisoned.
SIngers need to be intelligent and feed positive influence to the teens, youths. They do what the see.
bzmar, what are you doing for the youths? I’m glad you realize you’re hating.
bzmar, thanks for your comment.
I advice you to go to Brodies and purchase the album….our music is positive…we involve youths in music and keep them positive.
Franxel and Y Chami-Ka…thanks for your response, I have respect for what you said. Keep it going good.
As to Proud Belizean…FYI…I personally mentor adolescents and teens in San Ignacio, have been doing it for 5 years. I organize camps, day tours, musical instrument classes and share God’s word. Thank you.
BIGGER THAN SHYNE (for us)………………… and they CAN GO to the USA to make money/CHEDDAR…… or… HAPPY COW….
Ok my Brother you keep doing what you do best. And that is singing. Don’t let anybody tell you what to or not sing. You do good work, we love it. Keep it up…
Bless up mi youth….push the nice vibez to the max…..nice exposure priceless ! Keep doing your thing G !
Agree with bzmar; I know Belize have talented people; however we need to get outta this negativity, Americanized, cookie-cutter music and get into something that don’t teach our youths about materialism and how to worship it.
Believe, the tune you guys made Cold In Your Cup is catchy as hell and I think better than most of the crap I hear coming out from the self-proclaimed talent capital of the world – USA. However, the song is just that…catchy, no substance, no message.
Not being harsh guys, but as adults we have to remember how impressionable our youths are; as adults we need to set positive examples…or we will have youths who think that partying and worshiping materialism etc is what life is all about and then when they screw up their lives and potentially lives of other…we simply blame them and want to punish them…basically what we doing right now as a nation…kids slaughter each other on the streets so we lock them up and call them animals, but forgot who raised those kids.
To reiterate, nuff respect, you guys got talent, just hope you point that significant influence called music in a more positive direction…you guys are public figures now and people especially youths are looking up to you.
We appreciate all your valuable comments and invite you to keep on listening to our hits. Greater things coming your way.
The album has many positive songs and I encourage you to purchase an original copy. Proud to announce that Universal Music will be distributing our music soon and it will also be available for sale on itunes. Will keep you posted. One day, we will make Belize proud and will give back to Belize.
As the Alchemist said… “”When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.” We, Franxel y Chami-ka, gave our all to produce our first album. We owe our career to YOU ALL… the people. Thanks to those who support us because obviously they have taken the time to listen to our music… and those who don’t I advise you to go and purchase the album then you tell us what you think… Don’t make a video misguide you… don’t be so superficial.
Franxel y Chami-ka………… I like the Alchemist quote……… DEEP!!!……… METAPHYSICAL!!!!
