The New Year’s parties happening this weekend

It’s the countdown to 2011 and most people are looking for the hottest party spot to greet the New Year. Our usual entertainment host, Safiyyah is under the weather, but we’ve compiled a few ideas on where you can see the ball drop. There’s a two day bash going down at Club Next called “Double Impact”. It’s going to feature Madd Son Selecta Money D, who is coming straight out of Miami to rock the dance floor. He will be joined by local sounds including Tagg International and Belizean Movements.  There will be plenty giveaways and if you go tonight, you get in for half price on Saturday night. Tonight is also the annual News Year’s VIP Bash at the Riverside Tavern. The party jumps off at ten and there will be go-go dancers, a balloon drop at midnight and of course champagne to toast to the New Year. Entrance is twenty-five dollars. Thirsty Thursday is doing it Cancun style; free champagne, free shots at the door and a conga line when the clock strikes twelve. Tickets are twenty dollars per person or thirty-five for couples in advance. At the door you’ll pay twenty-five per person and forty dollars for couples. And on Saturday night there’s a party called first date at D’eclipse entertainment club. Music will be provided by Tagg International and the first eleven ladies and gents enter free and get a complimentary drink.
