3 charged for the murder of Nigerian taxi man

francis Chukwu

Police believe they have the man who pulled the trigger on Francis Chukwu, a Nigerian taxi driver, who had moved to Belize with his kids to better his life. Kendale Greene aka Gentle, a Belize City tour guide, is being processed for Chukwu’s murder. That was earlier today. But late this evening, thirty-one year old Jermaine Zuniga and nineteen year old Egbert Daley, both of Antelope Street Extension address were also charged for the Chukwu’s murder. Chukwu was working late on the night of December twenty-sixth when he was shot on his head on Pitter Street. His vehicle ran off the road and cops found his body slumped over the steering wheel. His personal belongings, including his wallet, were untouched which has ruled out robbery as the motive of the killing. Greene has reportedly given two home addresses to police; one on Antelope Street and the other on Iguana Street. Late this evening his mother who resides abroad called to get legal advice from a local attorney because she has been told that Greene is being brutalized while in police custody. And from the looks of it, Greene and his partners in crime will be bringing in the New Year behind bars.

Give them a fair trial, and then hang them.

We have the death penalty — we must use it to get out of this human jungle we have let such animals create for us.

I’m glad the BPD is on the ball. Hopefully, they were thorough & DPP can present a credible case & get a conviction.

Yesterday there was a story about the cruise ships that came in. I asked two weeks ago after seeing another story & someone who described himself as a tour guide, what kind of screening is being done to weed out the lunatics & criminals. A tour guide tried to rape a 16 year old a couple days ago & now another has been arrested for murder. While the crimes were against locals, why should anyone assume that these fools have enough sense to not put our already fragile reputation in jeopardy by biting the hand that feeds them. If there is no licensing process, we need one.

Ok belizeans. Maybe many would not like my opinion but maybe plenty of other belizeans would appreciate maybe what could be a solution for these terrible murders happening in our little country. First of all i think that we as a country need to go from what was once controlled nation to a nation where we decide what we do with the criminals parading the streets like they own it. Lets bring capital punishment lets be harsh with the one that kills lets be harsh with the one that rapes. Tired of ppl killing and nothing happening to them if they kill lets line them up on albert avenue near the new market and make an example of them. So maybe u wont post my comment but to rectify this problem first we need to rectify the government or have him make the changes that we need to do.

My sincere sympathy to you and your family. No one should be gun down especially when they have family and they struggling to make ends meat. To the dear wife note that many belizeans are not like that but who to be blamed is our country as a whole following a democracy thats not working following a queen thats not our own following a set of rules that we either dont want to change or dont want to be responsible for. You know the sad part is that what will happen to the women and kids the nation should look after this and allow them to continue making there life here they lost someone y cant they make it here. We need to be harder as a nation its the time to say enough is enough let the little military we have take over the streets and once an for all clean our streets from the violence we have today.

  7. The People Had Enough says:

I always wondered…where are the Human Rights people for the MURDERED victims? When will Belizeans get it; we are controlled by the European Union they are our daddy, we owe them money and they will instill their values on us or else….
