Espat was found dead in his bathroom on September fourth; he had been bashed in the chest and head with a blunt object. At the time, police said that there were no signs of forced entry at Espat’s apartment. Carlos was the brother of former Minister of Tourism and Albert Area Representative Mark Espat.

Fromafar – lets get the details please?

  7. BZNinCALI says:

@fromafar, they probably knew each other, most murders are not committed on strangers. Whatever the implications are, we still have to prosecute murderers & hope the jury focuses on the evidence & not lifestyle if that is an issue.

  8. fromafar says:

Al, borders are a trivial detail in this global age, what needs to happen is adequate and thorough monitoring and management of our borders.

We are all from somewhere, I’m pretty sure you are a foreigner by design, we all are. Iam, although I was born in Belize City. Only the Indians are true nationals, so for us to start saying that foreighners are taking over is a blind selfish way to look at it.

Rusty, of course the details will reveal, or at lest the details they want us to know. Belize has many secretive and underground societies is all I’m saying. I am in no way assuming anything.

  9. Consern says:

You hit the nail square on the head fromafar. We know a lot about each other and pretend that we don’t know until whatever that is negative touches a family member.

  10. Eve says:

Al, sorry my dear but the violence does not come from other countries, look and research before you oepn your mouth. Statistics show Belize District as the murder capital and look at all the faces on the news, it’s your black people. You have to acknowledge what’s wrong for there to be a change.
