McKesey employee fired and charged with theft of over $400 worth of meat

An employee of McKesey’s Meat Supply was fired and criminally charged in August 2010 after he was caught stealing meat. While he was surprised in the act, thirty-two year old Harrison Banner Duhaney pleaded not guilty to the charge of Theft. His case concluded today in the court of Magistrate Roberto Ordonez and Duhaney was found guilty. He was fined seven hundred and fifty dollars and ordered to pay five hundred dollars compensation to McKesey’s for the stolen meats. Duhaney has until March thirty-first to pay the court and his former employer, but he was remanded to prison today for an outstanding fine from a previous charge of Damage to Property. If Duhaney also defaults on the fine from today’s conviction, the court will order that any valuable items he owns be sold to repay McKesey’s. The theft report against him was made by the business’ manager, Sherie McKesey, who found over four hundred dollars in meat stashed in an empty lot behind the meat shop. About twenty minutes later, she saw Duhaney arrive in another employee’s vehicle to pick up the bags.
And what could he possibly have of value? If the poor thing smokes weed & has uncontrollable cravings, he has already eaten himself out of house & home & was on his way to doing the same to his employer.

All the same he could only be an idiot as in this day and age where job is hard to find and you need a job, he steals from the very hand that is feeding him! Guess he thought he could not be a suspect as rastaman do not eat meat. On another matter so many criminal eating away tax payers money, they should grow their own food and keep the city clean to compensate for free lodging and free food.
SEND HIM TO THE PRISON FARM TOO……….

When will we Belizeans, especially black Belizeans gonna start trying to look decent when it comes to the work force; i hate to be hypocritical but anytime you seem a black Belizean who commit a crime almost 99% of the time they look like…well…criminals.
Jesus what is wrong with our people, seems like we are trying desperately to go back to the dark ages, i go to Belize City and there are kids begging people in high end stores; the city is filthy, so much people just look lost and hopeless, i mean damn, i go the Chetumal and the Mexicans there always seem pleasant, the place is clean, infrastructure is almost impeccable, service is A+ in establishments and there are no homeless people ANYWHERE to be seen; and I know there are poor people there, why not send the poor to the something like Earl Grey’s Animal Farm for the criminals, but instead get the poor in the city involved in farming, get them working in the construction/infrastructure work being done all across Belize, do something, i for one never ever give someone who has two good feet and hands, money, that is condoning laziness, a man can earn money everyday by actually asking people what they can do to earn that money instead of begging for it…colonialism factor again, damn.
