Attorney Norman Neal passes away
Attorney at Law, Norman Gilbert Neal Senior has passed away. Neal was once a Magistrate, then later went into private practice as an attorney. On Saturday, after months of battling prostate cancer, Neal, also known as “Charlie Bogs”, died quietly at his Campus Avenue home in the West Landivar area of Belize City. His dedication to practice law may have been slowed down by blindness but he remained an active notary public up until the day of his death. His last notarization was done last week Thursday for a company to which he remained loyal. His sister, Norma Neal, who was at his bedside when he passed away, said her brother will be remembered for his jovial behavior, despite his blindness. Norman Neal began practicing law in the mid-seventies. Before moving his office to his home, it was located on King Street and his law partner was prominent attorney, Dickie Bradley. Funeral services are set for this coming Friday at Saint John’s Cathedral in Belize City.
