American physician sues pastor for hundreds of thousands of dollars

Robert Wyckoff

A retired American physician Doctor Robert Wyckoff has been in the news in the past days in a case of fraud by no less than a pastor. When we caught up Wyckoff today he said he is moving ahead with a lawsuit against Pastor Hector Mar of the Cayo District, who allegedly scammed him out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. The eighty-three year old Wyckoff, who lives in Nevada, has been investing in a project in San Ignacio to provide healthy foods for children and Pastor Mar was his local contact. But Wyckoff says he was advised to send money and farm equipment in Mar’s name, only to find out that the pastor is allegedly claiming the items for his own farm. According to Wyckoff, he was tricked into paying for numerous false invoiced and at least a hundred thousand dollars of his money is still unaccounted for. That, he says, is why Attorney Agnes Seguro-Gillett of the firm Arnold and Company, advised to continue with the civil suit against Mar.

Dr. Robert Wyckoff, Allegedly Scammed by Cayo Pastor

“She advised us to proceed. She feels that the property is ours, that there’s considerable fraud, deception and that we certainly must proceed.  In one account there’s about sixty thousand dollars missing and I have given him many thousands outside of the account. I would say there’s about a hundred thousand dollars that he cannot account for and I would like to know what happened to it.”

“And you managed to get some of the money back just the other day. “

Dr. Robert Wyckoff

“Yes, we got a little confusion about dollars here. I sent about a hundred thousand American which was missing. And he did refund, as ordered by the police, one hundred thousand Belize. So there’s still another hundred thousand which is not accounted for.  In investigating, things weren’t going right, nothing seemed to be getting produced so I demanded to see some of the papers. He put in slips for workers and he said I paid six hundred dollars this week to the farm workers. This went on for at least a year, probably several years then I find out there’s no such worker. Or he would pick them up in his truck and take to his construction jobs and so I’m paying his wages for his construction company. Many of the people we talked to said that they had never even been on the farm. He charged me for painting my truck and I don’t own a truck, it was his truck. Four hundred and forty dollars to paint it. I could go through a stack of false invoices where he would—he was supposed to get a thousand dollars a month; he would write himself a check for a thousand, sometimes two thousand, sometimes two thousand five hundred.”

This Pastor needs a copy of the 10 Commandments, he has broken a few of them, I hope his congregation is paying attention.

The truth is I can not judge any of the 2 because I do not know but something something if I felt that Dr. Robert is not telling it like it is something that I sympathize. and has never shown evidence as did the pastor and if it may be true that Dr. Wyckoof gave the money for many things, but as he says he was not here he led all was the pastor and I think the time this pastor use to handle your business here should not be rewarded? at the end of all truth and I know it’ll take care of sending the 10 commandments to that telling lies.

pay back is a !@#$%, let him pay the man every penny he took from this guy who all he wanted was to help.
