Rare life in prison sentence for convicted murderer

Orlando Wade, a thirty-two year old Sandhill resident, was convicted of murder last Monday and reappeared in court today for sentencing. And it wasn’t good news for Wade because Justice Adolph Lucas decided on a sentence of life imprisonment. Attorney Kevin Arthurs had asked for mercy on Wade’s behalf, requesting a sentence less than twenty years since his client had already spent two and a half years in prison. Mitigation pleas were also heard late last week from his mother and sister who begged for leniency, but Justice Lucas noted that Wade showed no remorse for his actions during the trial. Wade was found guilty of the June 2008 murder of Dorla Pitterson Slusher, a mentally woman who was raped and strangled to death before her body was dumped in an abandoned latrine behind Sylvia’s Cool Spot in Sandhill. A neighbor, Barry Rosales, discovered the body and called the police. Rosalez testified that he saw Wade beating Slusher the previous night and learned the following morning that she had been killed. Wade’s life sentence is effective from January seventeenth when he was convicted.
We need to resume public hanging of murderers.

The same penalty should apply to those who rape and murder children. Life imprisonment but with hard labour. Bring back the hanging or murderers.
Good for him, he has a lifetime to get what he did to poor dorla, hope dem bway …………. forever as long as he is jail.
I would like to hear with no possibility of parole. if not he will be out in two years. we need to make the sentence fit the crime
i think this verdict should be taken as a statement to all the murders caught now on. but it never applies to all of them and that’make the justice system fail us. hopefully justice Lucas can keep this going to all murders brought infront of him regardles their status or even if someone with strings attached to polititions they should be giving life or death penalty.
Hope he doesnt escapes and gets back at the witnesses….. since KOLBE walls seem to be very porous…..

Kolbe officials.. an appeal…… apply the “False Escape trial” for this scum….. that’s something good [for this type of monsters] that we need to learn from our neighboring republics…..
It’s about time. Let justice prevail. The laws should apply to rich and poor alike.

He’ll be out in less than 10 years. Good behaviour, then he’ll see the light, convert to the church and become a ‘Christian’. John woods will then see that he gets parole, so that he can freely follow his faith, as a reformed character and ‘Good Christain’. hallelulia!!!
I say it now and will say it as often as I can, who couldn’t look at that face and tell he would kill somebody one day. So arrogant and defiant and yet his family plead for mercy, but where was Dorla’s mercy. No doubt he look at Dorla with that same look on his face before he strangle her to death. tsk tsk tsk yes his sentence is just. a lifetime for a life.
