Costa Rica’s Foreign Ministry signs M.O.U. with Belize
There was a ministerial visit late last week. Foreign Minister of Costa Rica touched down at the Philip Goldson International Airport last Friday and left on Saturday. Rene’ Castro Salazar was accompanied by that country’s Director of International Relations, Ambassador Jairo Hernandez Milian. Their visit to Belize was to sign a memorandum of understanding between our two countries to establish bilateral cooperation. Castro and Hernandez, along with Costa Rica’s Resident Ambassador Ingrid Herrmann, met with Prime Minster Dean Barrow, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Wilfred Elrington and other government officials. Elrington is expected to travel to Costa Rica later this year to sign a Framework Cooperation Agreement.

Costa Ricans are people who carry their pantalones bien fajados. Are a loving, caring, friendly and hard working people with whom it is a privelege to make friends. I did four years in one of their prestigious university ( not govt. paid). I still correspond with the Quezadas, Chinchilla (not the president), Loria and Espinoza.
Glad to hear that relationships are being established with the beautiful country of Costa Rica!
I have been studying for a year and there is not much known of Belize here( not even an embassy) There are many Belizeans studying here and living also .. we should start to establish more ralationships with this country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
