Arielle finds out What’s Happening in weekend entertainment

It’s Friday and work is over… for most people which means it’s officially the weekend. And with the weekend comes our entertainment segment, What’s Happening Belize. Arielle has been scouting the social scene and the pursuit of a great weekend starts tonight with a first-class tribute to the late Frank Rhys. She also has an inside special on one of the city’s hottest hangout spots and a list of other exciting events.

I assume you all had an enjoyable valentines weekend….i know I did. But enough about me let’s talk about you!

I’ve got the places you need to be this weekend. …

Starting tonight in Corozal, singers get your voices together because its karaoke night inside Corozal Bay this Friday and Saturday. There will be thousands of songs to choose from in both English and Spanish; it all starts at 6pm.

Get out your cameras its pageant time! Holy Angels R.C. Primary School is hosting a beauty and talent competition.  Come see 12 be3autiful and intelligent young ladies vying for the  title of “miss holy Angels” it starts at 5:30, its only $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for high school students (along with your I.D) and $2.00 for primary school students. Come on out and support a worthy cause.

Riverside tavern announces there new line of entertainment they have something for every night of the week. It kicks off this Friday…freaky Friday followed by ladies night Saturdays, martini Mondays, tapas Tuesdays, Jazz Wednesdays, and then karaoke Thursday

Calling all high school students! Mahogany Masqueraders presents the “the Red and White dance” this Saturday at 8400 McKay blvd. there will be food and drinks on sale and music will be provided by Blue Steel. Its only $5.00 to get in and it starts at 6…….

On February 18th, at the Bliss Center, thirty-five musicians under the direction of maestro Carlos Perrote presents

“Cuenta Conmigo”—Count on me concert…

This concert will feature artists from channel 5’s KTV Latino—Natalie Arceo, Oneida Shaw, Elias Vidal with original songs composed especially for them by maestro Perrote.

Cuenta Conmigo is a tribute to the late great musician and educator, Mr. Frank Rhys, with artists Leroy Castillo, Tricia Gabourel, Deborah Pitts, Captain Roby, and music by the Omelewa Osian project, will make this an unforgettable event.

The proceeds from the concert will be used to purchase new instruments for the Grace Primary Music Department.

Its only $20 and it starts at 8:30….

Thirsty Thursday’s restaurant and bar invited me over to check out some of their activities. They had great food, smooth music, fun games and great food….did I mention great food? I had so much fun, I wanted to share the experience with you…check it out.
