Government adding and subtracting to balance the budget

The government is tallying the numbers for the new budget which kicks in on April first after it is passed by the House and Senate, according to a Cabinet release, following today’s meeting. The Prime Minister projected two weeks ago that new taxes are not expected. Total revenue and grant receipts, he said,  stand at five hundred and fifty-nine point six million dollars; total expenditures at five hundred and sixty-six point seven million dollars resulting in a overall deficit of seven point one million dollars. There has, however, been a big dip in grant receipts; from seventy-eight point seven to four point eight million dollars, and while there has been increased revenue from GST, it is still below the estimated figure. Those are the projected figures, but we won’t know until the budget is presented to the House in the weeks to come. The Cabinet release also states that the Prime Minister is heading to Grenada for a CARICOM Heads of the Government Meeting. He leaves this Wednesday and returns next week Tuesday.

We need a revolution if we wanna see any changes in Belize. Belizeans needs to come together as one, if we are united and we stand together towards a common goal we can achieve anything. Whats the point of moaning and complaining about everything when nobody’s even listening, in life when you’re faced with a situation you either do the right thing or the wrong thing but you need to do something.
