$80 Million in loans on taxpayers shoulders in 2011-2012 Budget
The new budget for the financial year 2011-2012 goes before the House of Representatives on Friday morning in the Capital. The debate won’t happen until the twenty-third and twenty-fourth of March and it is guaranteed to come under fire by the Opposition before it is passed and ratified by the Senate. The Barrow administration has promised that there would be no new taxes; however, eighty million dollars in loans will be tabled for approval, also at Friday’s sitting. The House is expected to pass an amendment to the Labor Act that has the private sector with unease.
Loan and loan to pay not what is needed by poor Belizeans but to pay PM’s xwife charges for legal work done for her x husband. Could the poor better serve with the 8millions they dean barrow pay lois. Good sources put the figure at 8M not 4
