Shajeem Espat charged for robbery of Gas Station

San Ignacio police have made an arrest following Sunday’s early morning murder of sixty-nine year old Julian Lara and burglary of Chuc’s Gas Station.  Shajeem Espat was today arraigned in the San Ignacio Magistrate’s Court, but the charge brought against him was not for murder.  Espat is charged with Conspiracy to Commit Robbery of the gas station on Bullet Tree Road.  The gas station’s glass door was shattered and thieves got away with over fifteen hundred dollars in cash. The watchman was found dead with his hands and feet tied shortly after one Sunday morning behind The Spot Bar, located adjacent to the gas station. He also had stab wounds to his neck and chest. Espat was remanded to the Hattieville Prison and he goes back to court on June seventh.
