It’s the start of another eventful weekend which promises something for everyone in your household.  Sure there’s the much advertised Shyne concert for fans of hip hop and dancehall music but there are also fun activities for art lovers and karaoke singers.  Entertainment host Arielle has the complete line-up of the weekend’s many events.

Welcome back to “what’s happening Belize!”

I’m fully aware of this eventful weekend so I’ll make this short and sweet….let’s jump right into it.

On Saturday 26^th, Atlantic Insurance in collaboration with Sacred Heart College will be having the annual festival of arts fair. Activities for this event include a mini expo, plenty of games and sports a dog show and a band fest where all the bands will be performing live for your entertainment. It starts at 9am, there will also be a dance later on in the night with cloud 9 sounds so bring out the entire family!………………….

It’s the finally of the first ever high school open karaoke completion, tonight at the Pallotti high school auditorium. Come see the finalists; Rhiannon Rhamdas, Rasheed Slusher, Marilyn Vansen, Cory Martel, Shelly Waight, Jermaine Castillo, and Jinel Flowers as they sing their hearts out for fabulous prizes, the top three schools will receive trophies. There will be food and drinks on sale and live entertainment from the Nu Generation Dance Company, The BCG Jerkers, and Geo. Entrance fee is $200………………….

The Belize national library service and information system will be hosting its door step tales and read aloud programme on the following dates; the door step tales will be this Saturday at the Thurton library center from 10am to 12 noon. The guest reader for this event is Mrs. Karen Ysaguirrre-Lewis.  The read aloud will be on April 2^nd also at the Thurton library center from 10am to 12 children between the ages of 5 and 13 are invited…………………………

If you’ve got  a sweet tooth Holy Redeemer primary school will be having a grand bake sale in aid of the holy redeemer marching band .it’s going to be on Saturday march 26^th from 11am to 1pm. So support a worthy cause and be sure to pick up your finger licking Bar B Q……………..

And of course you already know… this Saturday at the MCC grounds will be Shyne’s pre album release concert, Starring Shyne, Barrington Levy, Chino, Black Chiney, and two platinum R&B and hip hop artist. Also the place will be filled with our very own Belizean artist, Tonya Carter, Geo, Ras Indio, Reecie Pollard, and the Jag Camp entertainment. It’s an event that you don’t want to miss!…………………..

And remember to tune into channel 5 on Tuesday for KTV Latino and vote for your favorite singer using your smart phone………….
