Teens charged for robbing teen

Akeem Requena

A foiled robbery attempt earlier this week landed a pair of teenagers before the Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday evening. Eighteen year old Akeem Requeña, a resident of Morter’s Alley, was jointly charged along with a minor from Hattieville for attempting to rob a fourteen year old of his bicycle.  On Tuesday evening the teenagers accosted two individuals who were riding their bicycles along Johnson Street in the area of Constitution Park.  It is alleged that Jose Henriquez was attacked by Requeña, who punched him in the face.  But before they were able to make off with the bicycle the robbers were intercepted by a police mobile patrol who took them into custody.  They appeared before Magistrate Emerson Banner where they were charged with attempted robbery.  Requeña however, was also charged with wounding.  They were offered and met bail in the sum of five thousand dollars plus one surety.  Both Requeña and the minor are due back in court next month.

Just another normal stastic on the crime forum. And despite the fact that these lazy little pieces of $@%T are accused of a brutal crime, the parents run to their rescue and post bail. Yet, when they’re murdered, the same parents get before the media and cry everlasting tears about justice. It’s so unfortunate that the victim’s relative didn’t happen upon the crime in progress and beat the $%@T out of these 2 B@$&%$ds.

just a small fraction of a huge population of 16, 17, 18, etc. year old know-nothing, wanna-have-but no want work for it, i black so stay da back, lazy teenagers who are encouraged/defended by their parents. remember, children only do what they see. so when they reach 14 years old and is arrested for robbery, where do you think they get that from? either from tehri parents or their parents not keeping an eye on little johnny’s friends who he hanging out with. its easier to go out to clubs and bars to drink and have a good time than stay home and keep an eye on your children. ppphhhhhssssshhhhhhh…….

Another 2 thugs released on bail to reoffend, threaten the victim & witnesses or worse, kill the victim!

    Great job!

They should have been charged with attempted robber and assault, possibly even harm or grevious harm, and they should not have been offered bail.

Offered & met $5,000 bail plus assurity? Where did they get that source of cash from? Robbery? Whatever happened to common sense????
