Senior Counsel Dickie Bradley says U.D.P. broke promise to the electorate

Richard ‘Dickie’ Bradley

According to Senior Counsel Dickie Bradley, the U.D.P. has broken a promise it made to the electorate prior to taking office.

Richard ‘Dickie’ Bradley, Attorney for COLA

“The important matter in this is one: there is an outright breach of a manifesto.  That is a political matter to be told to the voters that, just like how they tell you unu mi wah get free land, unu mi wah get free education and nothing has happened unu noh di get no thirteenth member of the senate.  But it goes further.  The House of Representatives by a majority amended the Constitution of Belize to say yes there is going to be a thirteenth senator.  The matter went to the Senate, the existing senators and they said yes we support this amendment to the Constitution and they passed that amendment.  It went to the Governor General and it was signed and became law.  In that amendment, the last section in the amendment, of the twenty-three sections in the Sixth Amendment Bill which became an act says that this act shall come into force on a date to be appointed.”

That date was initially set for April twelfth, 2010.  Absent from today’s proceedings was senator designate Greg Ch’oc who heads the Sarstoon & Temash Institute of Indigenous Management.  Of the four N.G.O.s named in the lawsuit, APAMO appears unrepresented. Appearing on behalf of the government is attorney Magali Perdomo.

Which political party has not broken its’ campaign manifesto?. Which govt. has not broken the law?. This is a case of the kettle telling the frying pan: how black thou are. This is pure politics. I know that we tax payers are footing the bill for the govt. What I would like to know is: Who is footing the legal bill for these organizations?. You guessed right; foreign interest. We know Joseph’s brothers got twenty pieces and that Judas got thirty. How much are these Judas are getting?. Will someone tell?

It’s a festering Mosquito Farm now, as you again lost the elections for Queen Street Division, and the PUP Government abandoned it!

You should be struck off the bar and banned from practising Law for the lies that come out of your moth! How many killers were freed to kill again & again because of you?
