YC Gospel Concert will raise the spirit and save some souls

The buzz last weekend was a major concert, involving Belize Musical Ambassador, Moshe Levi Ben David, also known as Shyne. That event turned out to be anti-climatic, but there’s another concert coming up this weekend that promises some positive entertainment for the youths. It’s the YC Gospel Concert and the featured performer is DJ Nicholas from Jamaica. But don’t let the word Gospel fool you; Nicholas says this is no Sunday morning sermon, it’s the beat the youths want combined with the messages they need. He came to our studios, energized and ready for the stage, to encourage all young people to come out for a life changing experience.

DJ Nicholas, Featured Performer, YC Belize Concert

DJ Nicholas

“My name is DJ Nicholas, a gospel reggae artist from Kingston Jamaica. I’ve been saved for about ten years, been singing gospel for about ten years. It’s my first time here in Belize and we’re looking forward to a great, awesome time. Belmopan, UB Gym, remember what? Gospel concert fi di youths, definitely high energy. We’re from Jamaica so from yoh hear dat, yoh know it’s high energy.

[Singing… What kinda church is this…]

We’ll be having a Holy Ghost Gym, we ah go straight to di Holy Ghost Gym. But in the midst ah dat there will be ministry taking place. So come fi a word, come fi a blessing, come fi experience God like you have never seen or experienced God before. It’s going to be awesome. Tonight and tomorrow night; it’s going to be great.  As a youth growing up, I had my challenges, I had my experiences. I used to smoke a lot ah marijuana, I was very rebellious; even hit away a police hand with his gun before. But in the midst of all of that, I remember one day while reading the bible I came across a scripture in Axe, which said there is no other name given among men under heaven where man can be saved. And that’s the scripture that transformed my life and I’m here tonight to share wid you and tomorrow night. Expect unexpected expectations. Just come enjoy yourself in God. Young man, God call yoh because yoh strong. Come out, don’t stay home. This is not the time to stay home. Come out and be blessed. YC Belize, tell the enemy him have to leave, don’t be deceived. DJ Nicholas seh so.”

According to DJ Nicholas, he has ministered in several Caribbean islands as well as the UK, Canada and the US and he has received countless testimonies from young people whose lives he helped to change. He says he hopes to do the same for the youths in Belize.

Trust me, everybody need Jesus Christ. Some people realize it while they are still alive, and some after they die hwen it’s too late to repent. Believe mi man, if you don’t become a person of heaven, you will become a person of hell!
