Cop shooter suspects arrested
On March twenty-seventh, a lone policeman on duty at the Belama Police Sub-Station was ambushed by three men who stole his point thirty eight service revolver and then turned it on him. For days the constable, twenty-three year old Nigel White, was hospitalized in critical condition. On Thursday, police got a break and detained one person, who has since led them to the weapon that was stolen from White. Today a second person was detained and a third suspect is being sought. White, who was part of the Department’s last batch of recruits, was posted at the Belama sub-station on Albert Hoy Street only recently.
I also hear that the police is closing in on the robbers who assaulted the bank in O. W. and have done a good work in regards to the murder of members of the chinese community. Congratulation to the police for the excellent work done in record time. I think that these positive results are due to public pressure. Therefore, let us keep the pressure and let us hope the police department will redeem itself. Kudos to those policemen-women who carry the uniform with pride and honor.
This 23 year old Officer did not deserve this & these men hopefully will be convicted & spend the rest of their days with their own kind.
This calls for THE DEATH PENALTY………..
If we can’t kill them………SEND THEM TO THE PRISON FARM FOR LIFE.
There they CAN EARN THEIR KEEP and CONTRIBUTE TO SOCIETY at no cost to TAXPAYERS.

We desparately need a Prison Farm, however Toledo is too close to Guatemala, need to be built out in the middle of nowwhere, perhaps in the Jungle!!!
the Police Substation still close down, just for a few hours during the day a small side office is open and a lonely police stands outside looking totally lost. if GOB and Min Singh had any respect for the police after this incident they should immediately fully open the station with all personnel proper lights and securuty features for a police station. They are fully responsibble for that officers shooting because of their negligence,
What about the police force wishing up and not placing a young recruit all by himself to man a post with no back up? Poor judgement Mr. Singh.
