President of FIFA inaugurates football facility upgrades

Joseph Sepp Blatter

Still on sports, the President of FIFA, Joseph Sepp Blatter arrived in Belize and met with the Prime Minister today. The occasion is the inauguration of what is called the GOAL PROJECT II “Seating Facility and Change Rooms” of the FIFA stadium in Belmopan to which Caribbean Tires is a major contributor. The Football Federation, which at odds with the government, is hosting the football executive. Well have more on the visit on Thursday. We also note that the President of CONCACAF, Jack Warner did not make it to Belize as planned.

first of all fire chimilio’s candy and then we can progress for a better future for our teams in belize and a stadium adequate for international games.

I was in Belize last week; the Marion Jones Stadium has a really nice fence: but wait!

Isn’t the fence the last thing that should have been built? How the hell is in charge of these projects?

I think the stadium in the capital is progressing. However, I do think Chimilo and the FFB should place focus on the much needed accadamy of football in Belize and throughout the districts. We need to rebuild the minds and enlighten our youths to know that football can and will be some day a force of change in their lives! But we need to start showing them the way. Barrow and Chimilo must put differences behind them and focus on the children!

when u look at our country in reference to the rest of the world in sports we should all be embarrassed about where we stand in comparison, example belize doesn’t have one futbol player on the world stage and if we think it will magically happen because Blatter is here then you are all disillusion,I was in two camps in Europe Norway and the Nederlands from the little natural ability I possessed playing in the states and back home and it has to be honed from existing programs from within that designated country with sponsorship and cooperation from those involve! our country is full of negative energy and until this changes we will never make any progress as an undeveloped country!
