Serial criminal, Michael “Crazy” Arnold, gets some prison time

In the courts, Michael “Crazy” Arnold allegedly went on a weekend rampage in September 2010, terrorizing several Ladyville residents. His crime spree ended with him being badly beaten and facing charges of Burglary, Rape and Aggravated Assault of an Indecent Nature. Today the thirty-five year old career criminal was convicted of the burglary and was sentenced to five years in prison. Homeowner, forty year old Martha Palma and her son Patrick both testified against Arnold, who broke into their house at around two a.m. on September nineteenth, 2010. The entire household was awakened when Martha’s twelve year old daughter caught Arnold inside the house and screamed. The woman and her two sons managed to subdue him, tied him up and then waited for the cops. Arnold, on the other hand, denied breaking into the house, claiming that he was attacked while walking past the Palma’s residence and was taken inside where he was badly beaten. He says the family fabricated the story, because they were once neighbors, but he stopped socializing with them and they now envy him because of the money he makes as a fisherman. But the evidence against him, combined with fifteen previous convictions, including two for burglary, sealed his fate and he was found guilty. Just before he headed to Palma’s house, Arnold allegedly broke into another house not far away and attempted to rape a twelve year old girl, but he fled when the child screamed for help. He is also accused of raping an eighteen year old Ladyville resident at gunpoint the previous night. Along with charges for those incidents, Arnold is also awaiting a preliminary inquiry for a previous rape that occurred in December 2009.
He, and all rapists in Belize, should be castrated as part of his punishment.

15 past convictions including rape. He gets 5 years only for this burglary to run concurrently with the time he’s already serving wich means he’ll only serve 3 yrs and 4 months with remission time, some of which has been served already. That give him approximately 2 more years and a few months more of incarceration before he’s on the street again to make someone else a victim. My God, this is appalling and ridiculous. opefully someone kills him in prison before the sentence is completed. Disbar the magistrate immediately!!!!
What the hell was this piece of scum doing out of jail in the first place – 15 convictions, and rape & attempted rape charges pending?????? No wonder this country is in the state that it is!
He only got 5 years too, which means he’ll be out in a few month to rape & burgle again, only this time he will be desparate not to get caught, so will be armed and ready to kill his victims. I wonder how these Magistrates sleep at night…………… Safe behind walls, with security guards & Police (Us taxpayers footing the bill)to protect them probably….
Send him to the PRISON FARM ……..THERE HE CAN EARN THEIR KEEP and CONTRIBUTE TO SOCIETY…..at no cost to tax-payers.
He WOULD BE A LOT MORE PRODUCTIVE ON THE PRISON FARM.
He could learn to grow different things to provide for school lunches.
He could learn to make things from wood, i.e. desks and chairs for all the schools and government offices.
BUILD A PRISON FARM IN TOLEDO…………..Kolbe too close to Belize City.
It is my feeling that yes these type and brand of criminals ought to be used amongst organic compost so they may perhaps lead to better fruits or vegetables. He should be locked up and never be released again, and no WE DO NOT WANT THEM HERE IN TOLEDO. TOLEDO IS RICH IN NATURAL RESOURCES WE DO NOT NEED ANY MORE DUMP SITE

I agree with Mayan – Not here in Toledo!!!!!!!!!!! – Police should do society a favor – KILL THESE RAPIST and killers.. plant a gun… do anything – just get rid of them —PLEASE!!!!
My respects to the Palma family, they are an excellent example to all of us. They subdued and tied the burglar and then waited for the police. They were very brave to testify in court!!! We should all do the same so these scumbags are thrown in jail! Too bad it is only for 5 years!!
