Suspect pulls machete; cop pulls trigger

Also in the west, nineteen year old Hubert Pandy was shot by police in his home on Eve Street in Santa Elena Town on Tuesday April fifteenth. According to police, around three-thirty that afternoon, they carried out a search warrant for stolen items at Pandy’s house. During the search, they claim Pandy grabbed a machete and advanced towards them threateningly, and as a result, an officer fired a single shot that caught him in his left calf muscle. Pandy was admitted at the San Ignacio Hospital in a stable condition and despite the injury, he was discharged into police custody and taken to the Central Prison. Police say when they searched the property they found what they suspect to be a stolen camera and laptop computer. At the time of the search there were two other men on the property.

Gun vs machete, too bad the officer used restraint. The conviction of the BDF officer a couple months ago set a bad precedent & will eventually cause the death or wounding of an Officer if they have to aim for these bony twits calves. A machete is a deadly weapon, he should have put this fool down.

Can you please tell me why was this man not in cuffs when the search was going on? If he was he would not have been able to pull a machette! Let’s practise some common sense policing!

Oficers you wil get the respect of the people when they treat people with respect and only apply as much force as needed to detain or deter crime. Shoot to kill only when you need to.

Explain how a bullet lands in the calf if someone is advancing towards you. The calf muscles are located posteriorly (back of your upper legs.)
