The Police Department removed at least six unlicensed weapons and different caliber bullets from the streets over the weekend. But the department is under fire for not doing enough and so while discussing the weekend’s murder of Samuel Price, Police Press Officer, Sergeant Fitzroy Yearwood, also shared the capture of suspects, who robbed a bus at gunpoint.
Sergeant Fitzroy Yearwood, Police Press Officer
“Police in the immediate area caught up with Samuel Bevans. There, a search on him reveal a point twenty-two pistol only to find out that police received a report of him also robbing the conductor on a bus at the corner of Cemetery Road and Dolphin Street. I know that Bevans was arrested and charged for Kept Unlicensed Firearm and Kept Unlicensed Ammunition and he has additionally been charged with a minor for the crime of robbery. This was on Friday.”
If one is able to do the crime, then he must absolutely do the time, the DPP should throw the book at this individual, or individuals, seeking maximum time for the perpetrator of this crime. Keep up the good police work, Belize Police Force. We know you can, Si se puedo.
Throw his silly @$$ in jail for being stupid and damn lazy, wanting what belongs to someone else not knowing how to earn his own honestly. Remember, My Legacy B 4 My People
Thanks to the Gang Suppression Unit and the Mobile Patrol that was around the area…Kudos to the officers who paid heed and took it upon themselves to react to an ongoing robbery in the vicinity. God bless all police officers for the work they do and may the good Lord protect, guide and keep them mentally alert to continue to enforce the laws of our country.
Good police work! These guys are not too bright the police only have to step up their game a little. Lots of these small time crooks will go out of business!
I would like to do more than just lock him up: let’s start with a good @$$!@#!
THANKS TO THE POLICE FOR CAPTURING HIS NO GUD @$$!!!!!!!!!!! THOSE CONDUCTORS AND BUS DRIVERS ARE HARD WORKING PEOPLE!!! the job description might soung easy but it really is not!!!
And upon conviction……….PRISON FARM FOR a long time……..
THERE THEY CAN EARN THEIR KEEP and CONTRIBUTE TO SOCIETY, at no cost to TAXPAYERS
THEY WILL BE A LOT MORE PRODUCTIVE ON THE PRISON FARM.
THEY could learn to grow/FARM FOOD to provide for school lunches….
THEY could learn to make things from wood, i.e. desks and chairs for all the schools and government offices.
BUILD A PRISON FARM IN TOLEDO…………..Kolbe too close to Belize City
SLEAZY SCUMS OF THE EARTH…..SUCH A PITY THE DRIVER DIDN’T HAVE A RAZOR SHARP MACHETE TO MAKE DOG FOOD OUT OF THESE PARASITES!!!
I agree with Earl Grey: put the prisoners to work. Life too easy for those suckers in prison. They are fed three meals a day which is funded from tax payers dollars. Take them to the middle of the jungle or ontop of Victoria peak to do something productive.
I think we should build a prison on one of our islands, like the French used to have Devil’s Island and the U.S. had Alcatraz. Safety for Belize must come before comfort or convenience of the convicts.
And fortify it heavily, to defeat any criminal assault on the place.
Great job BPD. I have admired the restraint the officers have shown recently, we’ll keep ours eyes on the courts make sure they do their part & if they fall down, feel free to give our wayward country men the Haulover Creek special, the fishes are hungry.
