Elvis Rhamdas stabbed in the back
There was another stabbing and it involved forty-one year old Elvis Rhamdas, a Belize City fisherman of a Central American Boulevard Address. Sometime around nine o’clock p.m. on Holy Thursday, Rhamdas, who was standing at the corner of New Road and Victoria Street, got involved in an altercation with a group of men. One of them then drew a dagger and stabbed Rhamdas in the center of his back. Police responded several minutes later and found the man lying in a pool of blood with the blade still stuck in him. Rhamdas was later admitted to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he is receiving treatment for his injury. Police are still investigating the incident despite no arrests being made.
I wish him a speedy recovery & I can only hope that he is not a member of the same family whose child/grandchild was injured & left paralyzed last year.
I hope they fingerprinted the knife the assailant conveniently left behind!
Seriously, it must be something in the air down there. Best thing to do is to avoid Belize city, it’s not worth it.
Best thing to do in Belize City is be humble. Someone gonna chance you almost every day. If you drink and buy drugs and get into arguments, these things happen. Same thing happen lot a places. Trying to be a BIG MAN will get you killed. Especially on Central America Boulevard!
@Swamp Dragon, New Road & Victoria St is on the North Side of Belize City & nowhere near Central American Boulevard. You are right about people learning to walk away from what they perceive as insults. Let’s not forget that many people of East Indian descent lived in the Fabers Rd area before Central American Blvd was pushed through & this craziness took over. And before you correct me Rhamdases, I know that many of you grew up near the Old Yarborough Cemetery & everyone knew & respected Miss Dena, your Matriarch.
MADDYVANDIJKDEREALISTA you are close; too many people are negatively polarized; thus negativity is begetting negativity, if the polarization was positive it would be the same; positivity begetting positivity. We will never end this until we start looking into ourselves, until we start controlling our negativity i.e. anger, emotional outburst and start to affect people around you, in a positive way. Most people cannot grasp this concept, it is hard, especially when you are surrounded by so much negatively polarized people, ever wonder why when you get in a crowd you somehow, without consciously being aware of how it happens, that you become angry or frustrated, for example you can be in a night club tonight and the ‘vibes’ are good, people having fun and you feel positive, you feel good, and you go that same club a week later and you don’t know why, but you just feel bad ‘vibes’ and something ‘bad’ happens such as a fight or stabbing or shooting, whatever, something negative happens…do you think these occurrences are mere coincidence? They are not. There was an overwhelmingly negative number of people in the room thus that was the energy you were receiving and it affected you, because most people are unaware of this fact and can’t control it. People need to be spiritually awakened and start controlling themselves and looking into themselves before they can positively help others…or this band will play on and on for quite some time.
Most people on this forum, when they see/read something bad news, immediately lash out with anger towards the criminal element being reported, not knowing that they are unintentionally feeding the significant and growing negative energy that already exists, thus perpetuating this cycle.
