Corozal Police busts villager and his minor/wife with 9 Kilos of cocaine

Farrid Jesus Puck & wife

The north of the country has not experienced the violent crimes that have spread from Belize City to Cayo. However, the Corozal Police Formation has been hot on the trail of criminals in surrounding villages as well as in the town.  In this past month alone, officers have returned three American fugitives that were hiding in that district.  But this morning in San Joaquin village the police department conducted a raid at a house and found over nine kilos of compressed cocaine and a weapon. News Five has just confirmed the bust via phone with Superintendent Miguel Guzman, the Officer in Charge of the Corozal Police Formation.

Via Phone:  Supt. Miguel Guzman, O.C., Corozal Police Formation

“At about eleven a.m. on today’s date, a search warrant was executed at the residence of Farrid Jesus Puck, a twenty-three years mechanic of San Joaquin Village Corozal District. When the warrant was executed, he was in the company of seventeen year old female, his common-law-wife. The search revealed ten parcels of compressed cocaine and one bag containing on black nine millimeter Luger pistol loaded with eleven live rounds of ammunition in the magazine.

Subsequently, Jesus Puck and the seventeen year old female were arrested and escorted to the police station where the ten parcel of cocaine found were weighed in their presence and had a total of over nine kilos of cocaine. There are now charges of drug trafficking as well as keeping firearm and ammunition without gun license have been levied against the two persons.”

Jose Sanchez

“When it comes to the cocaine, do you know what he street value of the nine kilos are?”

Via Phone:  Supt. Miguel Guzman

“At this point in time, no I do not have an estimate value of the street value.”

Jose Sanchez

“Are they going to be remanded to the prison or are they expected to be taken into the lockup?”

Via Phone:  Supt. Miguel Guzman

“At this point in time, it is difficult to say. They will be taken before the court and I believe the court will make a decision on that matter.”

Jose Sanchez

“Has Mister Puck been under surveillance before or is this something that just came up by a tip?”

Via Phone:  Supt. Miguel Guzman

“Basically we are always on operation in Corozal, so normally we just get a search warrant and decided to go and do a search of the premises.”

The couple is in police custody pending charges against them.

It is time to at least change the tame way of interrogating suspects in Belize. Farrid is just a small time peddler, so this bust should not have made it in the news so quick. Instead severely and physically interrogate Farrid and his accomplice to give up their boss. Farrid might just be related to the two Belizean caught in Mexico or have close ties to the drug lord himself.
Farrid might go to jail, while the big fish will continue to find new peddlers to carry out his work in the same manner.
It is about making sacrifices, now do your jobs right.

  2. Gustav says:

He has to be in business with a cartel with that much cocaine. Put him in a dungeon and throw away the key. The cartels are mad dogs that will destroy this country. NO MERCY!

  3. British belizean says:

His 17 -year-old common-law wife? Is this legal?

  4. Elgin Martinez says:

I already know what is going to happen with this case.Mr Puck is going to hire Dickie and the female minor is going to claim that the drugs and the weapon belogs to her.

  5. Bzean-IN-LA says:

Kudos to the Police Department…”whop them one by one…”

  6. Corozal Bay says:

At least let’s not hope that the coke will turn to flour and then the charges get dropped because it has happened before.

  7. 2 cents says:

better yet it will not be drugs and the weapon will disappear.

  8. daveyt says:

They’ll both walk free, and of course, the Cocaine won’t be Cocaine, but flower or icing sugar. (Then end up either on the streets for sale, or on its way to the USA). The gun will disppear from the evidence room, only to reappear on the streets and be used in several robberies and killings too. You’d better Belize it!

  9. belizeanpride says:

the interesting part to me is that the female is a mexican, so, some how, soome where, there is a link between this guy and some big cartel in mexico, lets speculate that maybe this girl is not even his wife but a currier for the drug cartel from mexico to belize, who knows, more investigation needed.

  10. WESTERNMERMAID says:

HOPE DICKIE THE DOG OR THE LOSER SALDIVER KEEP FAR AWAY, YOU BET THEY ARE READY TO DEFEND THESE WORTHLESS PEOPLE.
WE WANT JUSTICE THESE ARE THE PEOPLE THAT CONTRIBUTE TO THE CRIMES IN BELIZE.
I SAY HANG THEM HIGH, SHOOT DEM KILL THEM GIVE THEN SOME VACCINE THAT WILL CAUSE THEM TO GET RETARTED, WE DON’T REALLY NEED THEM IN OUR COMMUNITY.
SHAME ON THIS MAN AND WOMAN, HOPE THEY NO HAVE CHILDREN, CAUSE THIS IS NOT A GOOD EXAMPLE FOR THEM

  11. villager says:

the mexican girl was dating him from before he probably got into this mix. it is common for nortenios to end up with mexican wives since they’re always across the border. the OIC of the northern district hospital lives with this girl’s sister. in the same village. but indeed, farid is just a small fish. i hope he talks so the shark also drops. the courts will probably make an example out of them. especially with the bad image they already have with covering for criminals. i don’t think even dickie can help here.

  12. villager says:

and yes WESTERNMERMAID, unfortunately they have a 1 year old baby girl.

  13. Disgusted! says:

Precursor to Friday’s newscast: “The alleged cocaine that we reported about in wednesday’s newscast turned out to be fake and the firearm charges were dismissed against the two suspects because it cannot they didn’t know the owner ad it there at the time of the bust.” Subsequently, the charges against the wife will be dismissed, Farrid will go to jail for a few until the story cools off, Dicky and Arthur will secure bail for him and he will disappear from the face of the earth……….. Next case please!!!!!!!

  14. belizeanpride says:

  18. boskunu says:

The police department need to conduct proper investigation into this case; small fish being caught while big fish in the glory. What happen if he is a mechanic and nothing was found at his house operating what he say, so the authorities need to continue to find clue were the suspected substance came from and who is the drug baron(s).

  19. crazy says:

instead all u guys talking bs lets help our youths

  20. Poorpeople says:

All of you who have something to say about this poor couple seem to not have mercy on human beings just like you all. It is sad that the police are doing only a part of their job because they did not even mention the torturing that they do to our poor people. Instead of criticizing we should all unite and fire their @$$#$ out of that office. We are not God to throw stones on these people plus I agree with boskunu it is not the small fish that needs to be caught but the big big ones and have them pay for this unjustice that was made to Farid, he is not a murderer, if even our prime minister frees the high rank murderers then why not these who did not kill but maybe were just a prey of bad luck.
