B.D.F. brother of convicted murderer threatens jurors

An ex-B.D.F. soldier, Glenford “Bucket” Bermudez” was convicted of the murder of his wife on Wednesday and today his brother was in court for threatening jurors. Thirty-seven year old Glenston Bermudez, a current B.D.F. soldier, pleaded guilty to two counts of Threat of Death and one count of Common Assault against two of the jurors who found his brother guilty. Desiree Garcia and Aloma Arana, both employees of Bottom Dollar Store, filed the report after Glenston approached them in the store on Thursday and told them to eat and sleep well that night because he would end their lives. Arana also claims that he walked up to her and stared her down until she became fearful. Glenston was detained on Thursday night and after his guilty plea, he asked the court to consider that he has a young daughter and he has served the B.D.F. for nineteen years. Magistrate Dorothy Flowers explained to him that it is a serious offence to threaten jurors who are carrying out their public duty.  She sentenced him to six months for each count, to run concurrently. His offences could have carried a non-custodial sentence, but Magistrate Flowers said she wanted to make sure he got the message.

  1. javier solis says:

He should have gotten two years at minimum since this is the same reason we do not want to serve as jurors

  2. Swamp Dragon says:

The “threat of death” is a serious offense. Why only a 6 month sentence? Years is what he deserve. 5 years minimum!

  3. I Have Awaken says:

Put him with his brother, so they can both enjoy each others company for the rest of their lives. Intimidating law abiding citizens carrying out their civic duty is unacceptable to the highest level.

  4. BZNinCALI says:

Mr. Bermudez, I want to feel sympathy for you but I cannot,. At some point, family loyalty must take a backseat to common sense & basic fairness. Were there men on the jury? Why didn’t you threaten them? If any of those jurors had even the slightest doubt about their decision, you confirmed how right they were. Your brother killed his wife, plain & simple. Is there any reason to believe that you are not intimidating the women in your life? It is a sad way to end a 19 year career but you are where you deserve to be & I’m not sure that six months is enough time for you to get over your anger.

  5. Clifford says:

After you finish your “serving” dude, finish what you have started! The judicial system is corrupt and we might as well get them out of sight!

  6. wormoil@yahoo.com says:

Has he been officially discharged from the BDF or will this criminal be allowed to return to the BDF and have access to weapons? He may more have anger towards these jurors and return to harass them.

  7. Gustav says:

The good he has done in the BDF doesn’t excuse attacking the rule of law. More prison for him and all like him.

  8. Drama says:

  9. lisa says:

its sad to know a killer’s brother can’t accept the truth that his brother is a cold blooded murder.

  10. lisa says:

What the hell is Clifford trying to say? He isn’t making any sense!!

  12. Elgin Martinez says:

Has Mr Bermudez been informed that he in not suppose to have contact with neither of these young ladys after his release from prison?

  13. Earl Grey says:

We need THE SUSTAINABLE REHABILITATION CENTER………………. (PRISON FARM)……………..

Where HIM & his BROTHER can EARN THEIR KEEP and CONTRIBUTE TO SOCIETY at NO COST TO TAX-PAYERS.

  14. CEO says:

If he has so much experience in the BDF and a young daughter and still have not learned how to conduct himself in terms of legal issues he needed the two 6 months sentence to run consecutively to have more time to think of his ways.

    Very good Magistrate Flowers!

  15. belcali22 says:

Mr. Bermudez has been a soldier for 19 years, he knew he knew what he did was wrong, but still have the nerve to beg for mercy from the court because he has a daughter. Raquel had 7 kids, his brother didn’t think about that when he ended her life. I bet you after serving his 6 months sentence along side his brother, they will both get the message.
    I agree with you CEO

  16. female soldier says:

Shame on these brothers calling themselves soldiers!
They have not an inkling of an idea of what is discipline, self respect, respect for the citizens doing civil duties, and no respect for one’s life.
As for you Glenston, your daughter can do with a break from you. 6 months is not enough but it’s a start.
Oh, and last and least, Clifford, you’re an idiot!
