The Real MacKoy, new album released called ‘Life’
Belizean musicians have been inspired and working overtime the last few years. On a regular basis artists have been producing music albums that encompass the different genres. One artist, who released his first album in 2010 called Real Issues, went right back into the studio and worked on his follow up album. This afternoon the artist called MacKoy, told us about his new album called Life.

“I have ten tracks on the Life CD. We have Punta rock, we have reggae, we have soca, we also have paranda music as well on it. It features Supa G, Adrian “the Doc” Martinez is also featured on it, Elroy Martinez as well and along with Sheldon and Junie Mar.”

“I know this is your second album. How long have you been making music? What is your inspiration?”
Denroy Garcia
“I’ve been in business for over like fourteen years now going on to fifteen. I’ve always loved Paul Nabor music, I’ve always loved the late Andy Palacio and I believe that they are some the key people that inspire me to do music.”

“As your inspirations, would that mean then your music is wholesome and not necessarily the type that young people are into?”
Denroy Garcia
“Well majority of my music are, almost all my music are positive music. For some reason I believe in positivity and that is what you see through my music.”
“Which tracks stands out the most on the album?”
Denroy Garcia
“I think I have gunshot that stands out, vision also stands out as well and nuguchu, which is in Garifuna which means my mother.”
